Instagram Has Developed A ‘Usage Insights’ Feature To Track Time Spent

Google is all about digital wellbeing now, a point that it reiterated multiple times during the I/O 2018 developers’ conference last week. It has built a new dashboard in Android P which will provide insights such as time spent on apps and the number of times the phone was unlocked in a single day. It appears that Instagram is building a similar dashboard for its app as an unreleased “Usage Insights” feature has been discovered in the code of its Android app.

The code reveals that this Usage Insights feature has been developed but doesn’t confirm if it’s going to inform users of the time they’ve spent on Instagram ever since they made their account or limit that to a shorter timeframe such as a day, week, or month.

Jane Manchun Wong discovered this unreleased feature during a dive into the app’s code. She has a solid track record of finding such features and most recently also brought Twitter’s encrypted DMs to our attention.

Instagram hasn’t commented on the matter as yet so it’s not confirming or denying at this point in time if and when this feature is going to be launched. Who knows, maybe it might come out with more details about this feature in the next few weeks.

Fortnite’s Thanos Mode Will Not Be Available From Tomorrow

A limited time crossover was confirmed over a week ago. Epic Games and Marvel announced that Thanos would be coming to the popular title Fortnite for a limited time. It was called the Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup mode for this battle royale title with players having to fight it out until the last one left alive in the map was able to get their hands on the Infinity Gauntlet. It has now been confirmed when this mode will end.

Many of you will be well aware that Avengers: Infinity War is the biggest movie on the planet right now. With such immense popularity behind it, it made sense for the developers of this popular game to tap into that and work out a crossover arrangement with Marvel that would put the villain of its successful movie in the game.

It wasn’t confirmed initially for how long the Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup would be available in the title. The essence of the game remains the same, 100 players are let loose in the map and they have to fight until only one remains. That one player then gets their hands on the Infinity Gauntlet which is the glove that has all of the six Infinity Stones through which Thanos causes havoc in the universe.

You have only until today to find the Infinity Gauntlet in Fortnite and be transformed into Thanos because Epic Games has now confirmed that this limited time mode will not be available from tomorrow.
