Borderlands Claptrap Talking Car Charger Won’t Shut up

I realize that a lot of Borderlands fans love Claptrap, but I’ve always found him to be more annoying than anything. It’s that voice. Still, I can’t help but see this Claptrap Talking Car Charger as adorable and I kind of want to buy one. This little robot for your car has two USB ports so you can charge up all of your gadgets while on the go.

It plugs into your 12V vehicle power adapter and fits in a standard cupholder. His eye lights up blue when he’s getting power, so you will always know when he’s on. Use him to keep your tablet and phone juiced up while this little robot runs its mouth. He says a variety of phrases from the popular game series. He says “Hahaaaa! I am alive! Let’s get moving o’ noble henchman” when you plug him in, and “Oooh… I finally got an excuse to turn this on” and “How ya feelin’ minion? Ya feelin’ good? I’m feelin’ good” when you use his charging ports.

Thank God there is an included mute button because there’s only so much of this robot that I can take. You can pick this guy up for $39.99 from ThinkGeek.

BMW’s Wireless Charging Mat For Cars Will Be Coming This Summer

One of the ways to charge an electric car would be to plug it in, much like you would plug your smartphone or laptop. However just like our smartphones which are starting to feature more wireless charging, it looks like BMW’s wireless charging solution for electric cars is only a couple of months away.

In a report from Autoblog, it has been confirmed that BMW’s wireless charging mat for electric cars will be launching this coming summer. This means that if you wanted to charge your car, all you’d have to do is drive on top of the mat and the charging begins. This also means you can just drive off whenever you want without worrying about unplugging the cable.

However there is a catch and that is this wireless charging mat will only be available for lease for the BMW 530e iPerformance in Europe, and the 530e in California for those living in the US. This is apparently because over in Europe, leasing is a more popular option compared to buying outright, which is why BMW might have adopted that model instead.

It also won’t be like a wireless charger for phones where you can just leave your device on it and it will charge. Instead an in-car display on the infotainment system will show drivers how to position their vehicles properly over the mat. Its availability will be limited for now, but presumably if successful then hopefully we will see its technology being adopted by more companies in the future.

Avenger: Infinity War Is Marvel’s Highest Grossing Movie

As it has been pointed out in many reviews, Avengers: Infinity War is a masterful strategy that’s ten years in the making. It has been a very long journey but based on reviews, it has proven to be very much worth the wait. So much so that it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that Avengers: Infinity War is Marvel’s highest grossing movie to date.

We know that the movie recently crossed the $1 billion threshold, but now the numbers are claiming that it has managed to earn $1.606 billion to date, allowing it to topple the previous number one movie, The Avengers which made $1.518 billion. In addition to being Marvel’s highest grossing movie, it is now the fifth highest grossing movie of all time.

It is behind the likes of James Cameron’s Avatar which made $2.788 billion, Titanic (another Cameron movie) which made $2.187 billion, Star Wars: The Force Awakens which earned $2.068 billion, and Jurassic World which made $1.671 billion. At the rate it is going, it is possible that Avengers: Infinity War would surpass Jurassic World.

That being said, it is understandable why despite Avengers 4 in 2019 closing the storyline, Marvel isn’t so quick to dismiss the idea of continuing the Avengers movie franchise, but whether or not they do remains to be seen, but Marvel is expected to share details about phase 4 of the MCU in 2019.

Overwatch Anniversary Event Set For May 22, According To Leak

It has been a couple of years since Overwatch was launched, and in the first year we saw Blizzard celebrate the game’s first anniversary with a special in-game event. The good news is that it looks like anniversary celebration events will be a recurring theme for Overwatch as the second anniversary event appears to be set for the 22nd of May.

Blizzard has yet to officially announce anything, but it seems that the Overwatch Twitter page in Brazil accidentally published a 20-second trailer confirming the upcoming event. The post has since been taken down, presumably as it went live earlier than Blizzard had wanted. Based on this it seems that an official announcement is imminent.

As to what players might be able to expect from the second anniversary event, based on the trailer it looks like new skins will be part of it. The trailer revealed Junkrat in a green pirate skin which is completely new, so there’s that. Presumably other characters will also be getting new skins, so not to worry if Junkrat isn’t your main.

In any case like we said, an official announcement should be coming soon so we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information when that does happen. In the meantime you can check out the post on Reddit where the video was saved.
