Alleged OnePlus 6 Renders And Possible Pricing Leaked

In a couple of days, the OnePlus 6 is expected to be officially announced but it looks like until it does, the leaks just won’t stop. In fact the latest leak comes from WinFuture.de in which an alleged render of the upcoming handset has been revealed along with what seems to be potential pricing of the phone.

Based on the leak, it seems to hint that the phone could have a glass back, or at the very least a back made out of reflective material, or maybe it could just be the render. Other than that, it seems that the rumors of OnePlus adopting the notch design are true, something the company has teased in the past.

In terms of pricing, WinFuture.de is claiming that the phone might be priced starting at 519 euros. This means when converted it would be roughly $621, but in terms of dollar to dollar, it’s pretty close to what we had heard previously which is that the OnePlus 6 could be priced starting at $523 for the base model.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but with the announcement set in a couple of days, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to find out all the official details.

Android P Will Show Upcoming Events On The Lock Screen

If you’re the type that has a lot of events scheduled, unlocking your phone and having to check the calendar constantly can be rather annoying, especially since those seconds add up over the course of the day. However with Android P, it seems that Google is changing that by displaying events on your lock screen.

This is according to the folks at Android Police who took a look at the second developer preview of Android P that was released recently. For those wondering why this looks a bit familiar, it is because it is similar in concept to the upcoming events feature found on the Google Pixel 2, but in terms of how the information is displayed, that’s where it differs.

In the case of the Pixel 2, the launcher will show upcoming events that will take place in the next XX minutes, whereas in this case, Android P will show the start time and the end time of the event where possible. This might be a convenient feature for some users to have, although at the same time we can imagine that there might be some users who’d rather not have their information plastered on the lock screen where anyone can access it.

It is unclear whether or not this feature will be making the final cut of Android P, but it does seem useful and convenient.

T-Mobile Halts LG V30 Android 8.0 Oreo Update

Last week T-Mobile announced that they would be rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the LG V30. However it seems that according to various reports, the update for the handset has been halted. What’s interesting is that this is actually not the first time that the update for the LG V30 has been halted.

The previous time the Oreo update for the LG V30 was halted was back in April, so we’re not sure what’s going on. T-Mobile has since confirmed that the latest release has been put on pause and claimed that this was due to various users having a less than ideal experience of the update rolling out to them.

According to T-Mobile, “Unfortunately, the update didn’t go as smoothly for every customer. Our device team started receiving reports from Care and Tech of customers reaching out experiencing issues, which is why we were checking in here yesterday; to see if there were similar problems happening for our Community members. While it looks like for the most part, our folks are in the clear, the reports were significant enough to inspire the software test team to pause the update temporarily while they investigate more to determine whether the update is truly ready to roll.”

No word on when the update is expected to resume, so for now if you’re an LG V30 owner on T-Mobile, it looks like you guys will have a bit of waiting to do (again).
