Yahoo suffered from a massive hack back in 2014 which affected some 500 million of its users. A hacker-for-hire involved in this hack was apprehended and eventually tried. He has now been sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the hack which is believed to have been orchestrated by Russian spies. The person in question, Karim Baratov, maintains that he wasn’t aware that he was working for Russian spies since he didn’t look into customers who hired his services.
The DOJ mentions that Baratov’s name came up when two Russian nationals were charged with being behind the 2014 Yahoo hack. They were the ones who provided him with the data from the breach which Baratov then used to hack into the email accounts of American and Russian journalists, employees of private businesses, government officials, and other potentially important persons.
Baratov relied on phishing tactics to obtain the targets’ passwords which he then passed on to his Russian contacts in return for money. He is believed to have made $1.1 million doing this and spent that money to buy a house and cars.
The court has now ordered Baratov to pay a fine of up to $2.25 million and to also pay a restitution to his victims if he has any assets left after that. The 23 year old has also been sentenced to five years in prison.

Bethesda put up a teaser yesterday out of the blue which suggested that the publisher may announce a new Fallout game in the near future. The timing of this teaser made sense as the E3 2018 gaming convention is just around the corner. Bethesda today confirmed that the new title is going to be called Fallout 76. It released the first brief trailer for the title today which confirmed the title of this game.
The latest entry to the series comes after Fallout 4 which was released at the end of 2015. The company released multiple expansions for the title in the months after launch.
The brief trailer that Bethesda released today confirms that the game is going to be called Fallout 76. The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the game itself aside from the name as it only shows the inside of a fallout shelter for a few seconds.
Bethesda will obviously be telling us more about the game at its E3 2018 press conference which is scheduled for June 10th. The title will be launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC when it does arrive. While Bethesda has recently been increasing its investments in the Nintendo Switch platform, it doesn’t seem like Fallout 76 will be making its way to the Switch at least initially.
Bethesda obviously hasn’t confirmed as yet when it’s going to release Fallout 76. The game is being developed by Bethesda Game Studios which is the same team that developed Skyrim and Fallout 4.

AT&T had decided to not carry the LG G7 ThinQ and reports had suggested that the company would carry another device instead, the LG V35 ThinQ. LG announced the V35 ThinQ officially today and it looks quite similar to the V30S and V30. AT&T is indeed going to be carrying this device, the carrier has priced it at $900, customers can get it for $30 per month over 30 months.
As far as the specs are concerned, they’re quite similar to the G7 with the battery capacity, RAM, and the screen being the notable exception. The price is obviously another major difference as the G7 ThinQ is available for $750.
The LG V35 has a 6 inch 18:9 aspect ratio Quad HD+ OLED display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also features a 3,300mAh battery, Android 8.0 Oreo, an 8 megapixel front and 16 megapixel + 16 megapixel dual rear camera.
The display doesn’t have a notch like the G7 and its battery is slightly larger than the G7’s 3,000mah. The G7’s Boom Box speaker isn’t present on the V35, though, and it doesn’t have a dedicated Google Assistant button.
Additional features include Google Lens support, LG’s Hi-Fi Quad DAC, an IP68 rating, wireless charging, AI Haptics, and the AI Cam features that were also present on the LG V30S ThinQ. AT&T is yet to confirm outright pricing for this device but at $30 per month over 30 months on AT&T Next, it reaches $900 and that’s before taxes and fees.
