Some Google Home Max users have complained about audio latency issues and they will now be delighted to know that a fix is being developed which is going to take care of these issues once and for all. According to a new report, Google is developing a performance update for the device which will fix the aforementioned audio latency issues. The update is going to be rolled out by the end of this month.
Users have pointed out that when they play something on the Google Home Max through its standard 3.5mm port the lag is noticeable. That’s not a quality that you would want a speaker to have. This becomes particularly annoying when you’re using the Home Max with a TV source because that’s going to result in delayed sound that’s not in sync with the picture.
The Next Web reports that Google is developing a performance update to fix this issue. The company has said that this performance update will reduce the line-in delay from 550 to 39 milliseconds. This means that the latency will essentially be reduced by almost 93 percent.
“This performance improvement makes Max an even more frictionless experience for those plugging in their record player, smartphone or other audio source,” said Google Home Max product manager Chris Chan. Google Home Max users should keep an eye out for this performance update towards the end of this month.
