The concept of a cloaking device has a lot of appeal and though we’re far from being able to make 3D objects invisible to the human eye, researchers continue to develop new ways in which to shield objects from other sorts of detection. At the Meeting…
With Amazon leading the smart speaker market, many companies are now coming out with similar products to try their luck and see if they can get a piece of the pie as well. It’s easier said than done, though, but we’re surely going to see a lot of Amazon Echo rivals down the line. According to a report, Microsoft is working on a new smart speaker with Taiwanese manufacturer Quanta. The project is said to be in the early stages at this point in time which means that the project is open to changes.
The smart speaker will reportedly be introduced in the market under Microsoft’s own brand and it’s obviously going to be powered by Cortana, the company’s digital assistant. The company previously teamed up with Harman Kardon to launch a similar product called the Invoke but it hasn’t done much in this space since then.
Microsoft reportedly has its own design for the smart speaker but since the project is said to be in the early stages, the possibility exists that changes might be made to it. No further information about the technical specifications of this product have been revealed as yet.
It’s unclear right now when this product might hit the market. Seeing as how it’s in the early stages of development, it might take some time before the company’s new smart speaker hits the market.

The Switch is getting its own Monster Hunter game this summer, but unfortunately, it won’t be the record-selling current-gen version, World. Last summer, Nintendo launched Monster Hunter XX, a port of a 2016 3DS title, in Japan — and now it’s on its…

Samsung will launch its second flagship smartphone for the year in the coming months and we will gradually start hearing more rumors and reports about this handset. The Galaxy Note 9 is due in the second half of this year and if a source with a somewhat solid track record is to be believed, Samsung won’t be making any major design changes to the Galaxy Note 9.
A China-based Twitter leakster who goes by the moniker Ice Universe has been right on some accounts in the past. The leakster now says that Samsung won’t be making any major design changes to the Galaxy Note 9 and that it’s going to essentially look the same as the Galaxy Note 8.
Not that it’s going to be a bad thing because the Galaxy Note 8’s design was much appreciated. However, those who were holding out on major design changes might have to wait until next year as they might not find the upcoming flagship phablet to their liking.
Samsung appears to be following the same strategy that it applied to the Galaxy S9 this year. The new flagship doesn’t come with substantial design changes as well and looks very similar to the Galaxy S8. Some reports have suggested that this has hurt Galaxy S9 sales as customers don’t feel the need to spend more money on a new flagship that looks like the one from last year.
That’s likely to be the sentiment with the Galaxy Note 9 as well if this information is accurate.
