Walmart’s Grocery Delivery Service With Uber & Lyft Will Be Ending

A couple of years ago, Walmart announced a partnership with Uber and Lyft in which they would be testing out the idea of using ride-hailing services to delivery groceries. It made sense since Uber already has UberEats, so grocery delivery didn’t really seem like that much of a stretch, but unfortunately it looks like that partnership has come to an end.

According to a report from Reuters, Walmart will apparently be ending their partnerships with both Uber and Lyft as far as grocery deliveries are concerned. It is unclear as to what the reason might be behind the ending of the partnership, but according to a source who works with a delivery company that works for Walmart, “It is incredibly hard to deliver people and packages together. They are two completely different business models.”

Like we said, Uber already delivers food successfully with UberEats, so it is unclear as to why delivering groceries might have been more difficult. It also seems like a rather abrupt end, especially when you consider that it was late last year that Uber and Walmart expanded their delivery areas.

Walmart has since confirmed that their partnerships have ended, but did not dive into any details. Spokeswoman Molly Blakeman also noted that they will continue to offer delivery options but will use other delivery providers and that customers should not notice any difference.

Instagram Users Can Now Buy Movie Tickets Directly

We’ve known that Instagram has been trying to make itself more appealing to businesses and have launched various tools over the years to try and attract more businesses onto its platform. More recently the company launched a feature that facilitated in-app payments, meaning that users didn’t have to leave the app to make a purchase.

The good news is that it looks like several companies are already taking advantage of that feature, such as Fandango and Atom Tickets. According to reports, both companies are now allowing Instagram users to make purchases of movie tickets directly within the app itself. Users who use either service should notice a “Buy Tickets” option available to them, along with a Shop button that was previously available that showed users merchandise and ticketing offers.

According to Fandango president Paul Yanover, “We’re very excited to integrate ticketing into our Fandango Instagram, and look forward to working with our studio partners to help transform consumer passion into advance ticket purchases.” Fandango has indeed been expanding its digital presence and it was just last week that Google Assistant users could also use voice commands to make ticket purchases. These changes should already be live and available so the next time you’re looking to buy a movie ticket, perhaps Instagram could be one such channel to consider.

Marshall Major III Headphones Announced

Marshall, a company known by many musicians as a seller of guitar/bass amplifiers, has been dabbling in more consumer audio products in recent years, such as headphones and Bluetooth speakers. So far the company has received positive feedback about its products, and if you’re in the market for a new pair of headphones, Marshall is more than happy to oblige.

The company has recently launched its latest pair of headphones in the form of the Marshall Major III. As the name suggests, these headphones are essentially the successor to the previous Major headphones and will be offered in either a wired version or a wireless Bluetooth version.

In terms of design, the new Major III headphones look more or less the same as its predecessor, but Marshall claims that they have made some improvements on design and comfort so that they can be worn for longer periods of time. They will also feature 40mm dynamic drivers, and the best part is that in terms of pricing, Marshall has kept it the same as the previous model.

This means that if you wanted to get the wired version, it will be priced at $79 while the wireless version, which promises 30 hours of battery life, will be priced at $150.
