For the most part, the hinges on our laptops are pretty standard and are designed to help the laptop open up. We don’t really think much about it, but could it be improved upon? That’s something that Apple seems to think that they can do, and in a patent spotted by Patently Apple (via 9to5Mac), it seems that Apple is working on something called the “living hinge”.
The patent description reads, “An enclosure for a laptop may be created from a rigid material having a flexible portion defined around approximately a midpoint of the material. The flexible portion may allow the rigid material to be folded in half and thus acts as a laptop clamshell.”
“A top portion may support a display screen and a bottom portion may support a keyboard, track pad, and the like, while an interior defined by sidewalls of the rigid material may house a variety of electronic components in accordance with conventional laptop computing devices. In this manner, the enclosure (or a portion thereof) may be created from a single rigid material, while still providing flexibility and bending for the enclosure.”
Basically it sounds like Apple wants to make the entire chassis out of a single piece of material, with the hinge actually being part of the chassis itself. If this sounds familiar, it is because Microsoft has created something similar in the past with the Surface Book back in 2015. We’re not sure if there is an advantage to such a design, other than perhaps a more seamless look, but whether or not Apple will go through with it and turn the patent into a reality remains to be seen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be launched later this year and given that it will be a flagship handset from Samsung, we expect that it will pack some of the latest hardware. This means the latest and most powerful chipsets that is available on the market today, which is why recent alleged benchmarks for the Galaxy Note 9 does not come as a surprise.
According to the recently sighted benchmarks, it appears that the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 will be packing an Exynos 9810 chipset from Samsung. For those who have been following the news, this is actually not the first time the Note 9 has been benchmarked. Previously a version with the Snapdragon 845 was spotted, but just like the Galaxy S9, the Note 9 is expected to launch in two variants depending on the market, where one will get the Qualcomm chipset and the other will use Samsung’s Exynos chipset.
In terms of performance on paper there are some differences, although chances are when used in a day to day situation, you probably won’t be able to notice it. As for the latest benchmarks, we’re looking at a single-core score of 2,737 and a multi-core score of 9,064, which like we said appear to be different and even better than the Snapdragon version.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now as Samsung has yet to officially announce anything, but if the rumors are true we might not have to wait too long to find out the details as Samsung has been rumored to launch the handset earlier than expected.

Towards the end of 2017, Capcom made a surprise announcement which is that the Mega Man franchise will be getting a brand new installment in the form of Mega Man 11. The game looks fantastic and offers a modern take on the classic game. However apart from a vague 2018 release timeframe, Capcom did not specify when exactly.
However the good news is that we might have an official date to look forward to now. This is according to a leak which suggests that the game could be released on the 3rd of October, 2018. What makes this leak seem more credible is that it actually came from via the Singapore PSN as shared by Wario64 on Twitter.
Mega Man 11 apparently coming out on October 3rd (via Singapore PSN) https://t.co/IlK4BuctM6 https://t.co/KMcr5ehHBg

It is possible that Singapore’s PSN might be using a placeholder date, but chances are Sony is probably more in the loop about the game’s release date than most, so it stands to reason that it might actually be accurate. Plus as Capcom had previously confirmed, it will be released in 2018 so an October release date doesn’t seem entirely out of the question.
The game will be launched across a variety of platforms including the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. We expect that more details will be shared closer to its announcement so check back with us soon for updates!
