Microsoft has added a new feature to its Edge browser for iOS and Android that’s going to appeal to those who don’t like seeing a lot of ads when they surf the internet. The company has revealed that it’s building Adblock Plus into its Edge browser which means that this popular ad-blocking extension will now be part and parcel of Edge for iOS and Android.
Microsoft has directly integrated Adblock Plus into Edge and it’s currently testing this integration with the beta version of Edge for Android. It’s also available for iOS users through the iOS test program. Microsoft will release the native ad-blocking experience to all users in the near future.
Microsoft Edge users who get their hands on the beta version of the browser will be able to enable ad blocking through the settings menu. They will not have to install any separate extension for this to work.
Redmond has taken a different approached compared to Google which recently started offering ad blocking features in Chrome for Android as well but it’s not as aggressive as Adblock Plus. It’s the same for the Android version of Firefox as well but Microsoft didn’t go for its own solution, opting to partner with Adblock Plus instead.

After multiple reports, it was confirmed last month that Amazon would provide Prime members with a 10 percent discount while shopping at Whole Foods. They will also get “deep discounts” on select best-selling items. These perks were only offered to Amazon Prime members living in Florida initially and the company didn’t say how soon it would expand these perks to members across the United States. It turns out, Amazon needed a month to do that as it’s now offering Prime Members discounts at Whole Foods outlets across the country.
Those who subscribe to Amazon Prime will now receive a 10 percent discount on select sale items as well as other discounts at Whole Foods stores across the United States. The perk will go in effect on June 27th.
Customers can take advantage of the perk by signing into the Whole Foods app with their Amazon account and then scanning the app’s Prime Code when they check out at a physical store. They can also enter their mobile number when checking out to verify their Prime membership.
Items in Whole Foods stores that are eligible for these discounts will have yellow stickers indicating that they’re 10 percent off for Prime members. Blue stickers will identify other deals available for Prime members.

Apple is reportedly going to introduce multiple new AirPod models next year. Previous reports have suggested that the company is developing an over-ear high-end model which will feature noise-canceling. They are said to offer improved sound quality. A new report claims that Apple is also developing a new set of wireless AirPods which will feature noise cancellation.
Bloomberg reports that Apple is developing new high-end wireless AirPods that will be water resistant and feature noise cancellation. The report mentions that these AirPods may be released in 2019. It also predicts a delay in the release of the aforementioned over-ear model which was initially believed to be due for release by the end of this year.
Alongside these two new models, Apple may also be working on a modest upgrade for the existing AirPods which may only feature an improved wireless chip for more range and support for activating Siri hands-free. This particular model is expected to arrive later this year. Apple may also launch a new case for the AirPods which will support its much-delayed AirPower wireless charging mat.
Last but not the least, Apple is also said to be developing a new HomePod speaker that it will launch in 2019 but there are no details available at this point in time about what it might bring to the table.
