Leap Motion Project North Star can make you a table tennis pro

OK, maybe not, especially without the experience of an actual ball hitting the paddle or knowing the right amount of force to apply to a swing. But Leap Motion’s hand tracking technology, combined with its Project North Star augmented reality headset, could give users an idea of what a table tennis game could feel like. And this is precisely the … Continue reading

Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 Expected To Feature Huge Costume Change

For those who love superhero movies, come 2019 there will be quite a few to look forward to. For example there will be Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, and also Spider-Man: Homecoming’s sequel. Now for Spider-Man, we’ve seen how Peter Parker got a new costume in Avengers: Infinity War.

However it seems that costume won’t be carried forwards to Homecoming’s sequel. Speaking to India West, costume designer Louis Frogley who worked on Spider-Man’s costume for Homecoming and Ant Man and The Wasp claims that for the sequel, we can expect a pretty big costume change.

While Frogley isn’t working on the sequel, she was quoted as saying, “I am not actually working on that film, but the costumes will have very big changes because, in the film, Spider-Man becomes more like man and not teenager.” That being said, given the way Avengers: Infinity War ended, many are curious as to how much of an impact this has left on the MCU, but we’ll have to wait until 2019 to find out.

In the meantime there have been rumors suggesting that Mysterio could be the villain for the sequel, leaving Kraven the Hunter as the only member of the Sinister Six that has yet to debut in a Spider-Man movie.

Nintendo Cracks Down On Switch Game Card Piracy

Piracy is generally frowned upon, even if some developers aren’t so strict about it, but in the case of Nintendo it seems that the company is taking piracy very seriously. According to reports, it seems that Nintendo is now starting to ban certain certificates issued to game cards by checking to see if they might have been illegally obtained.

While it is Nintendo’s right to fight back against piracy, there are many gamers out there who are questioning what will become to the used game market as a result of this. Right now gamers are reporting that only the gamecart’s certificates are banned, not the Switch itself. As you might have heard, a report from last month revealed that Nintendo had gone after modders/hackers by banning their Switches from online play.

Of course it wouldn’t be fair for Nintendo to prevent the Switch from working entirely, so banning players from online play was probably the next best thing. That being said, it is unclear as to what Nintendo’s policies are regarding resale of used/pre-owned games, because like we said it could have been a legit purchase but the system could still potentially see it as piracy. Either way we’ll have to wait and see if Nintendo plans on clarifying how they are approaching this.

EA, BioWare Reassure Gamers That ‘Mass Effect’ Isn’t Dead

With BioWare now focusing on the upcoming Anthem game, we’re sure that many  gamers are probably wondering what will become of the Mass Effect franchise. The previous Mass Effect release was not the massive success that BioWare and EA had hoped for, resulting in the franchise being put on hold.

So the question is, is the franchise dead? According to a report from WWG, it seems that is not the case and that the Mass Effect franchise is still very much alive and well. Their source was quoted as telling them, “Oh, no. Mass Effect is definitely still happening. That franchise is much too valuable to EA for them not to do anything with it.”

It makes sense that the franchise has not been killed off given that it has such a massive and loyal following, and it’s also fair that BioWare would want to focus on their latest launch. Last year BioWare’s General Manager Casey Hudson had also stated that he hopes to be able to work on it again, all which points to signs that the studio is definitely still very much interested.

There is no word on when we will see a new Mass Effect game, but Anthem is currently set for a release in 2019, which means that it’s probably only after Anthem’s release that we expect BioWare would start to look at a new Mass Effect title.

Google Play Subscription Center: know what you pay for
