This afternoon there’s word that Samsung and LG will avoid a notch in their next big smartphones. Not because they don’t want to roll with a notch – they don’t seem to have a big issue with that. Because, instead, both Samsung and LG might soon be producing sound-producing OLED display technology. That’ll be weird to experience, no matter how … Continue reading

Thanks to several leaked photos, we are kind of getting an idea of what the upcoming Pixel 3 could look like. Now in a post on Twitter by Phone Designer (via 9to5Google), they have uploaded a render of the upcoming Pixel 3 phones and imagined them in brand new colors which includes “Panda” and “Kinda Blue”.
We should note that this render is not meant to be an accurate depiction of the Pixel 3, but rather it is an imagining of what the phone could look like based on leaked photos and what it could look like with new color options. Whether or not this is what the actual Pixel 3 will look like remains to be seen, but it does look good.
So far the design of the Pixel 3 seems to be similar to that of its predecessor, save for a notch in the display which is rumored to be a feature of the Pixel 3 XL. As for specs, we can only assume that it will be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 along with at least 4-6GB of RAM, or possibly more.
No word on when Google plans on unveiling the Pixel 3, but we expect that it should be around the same time as last year which was in October, but check back with us in the coming months for additional details.

In recent times we’ve been hearing about how law enforcement agencies have managed to get their hands on software and hardware that grants them access to locked iPhones. This comes on the heels of Apple refusing unlock iPhones belonging to suspects (at least not without a valid warrant) or installing a backdoor for law enforcement agencies.
Now we had heard that in iOS 12, Apple has come up with a way that could potentially render the software and hardware used by law enforcement to access locked iPhones useless. It turns out the reports were true as Apple has essentially confirmed it, according to a report from The New York Times (via MacRumors).
For those unfamiliar with the previous report, basically it suggested that Apple would lock the Lightning connector on the iPhone if it has been detected that the user has not unlocked the phone for an hour. To unlock the port to enable data transfer, users would then need to enter the phone’s password.
What this effectively does is it renders devices like the GrayKey Box useless due to the fact that the timeframe has been shortened to an hour, making it pretty much impossible for it to work. Apple has defended this change in iOS 12, claiming that it was done out of security purposes and not to frustrate law enforcement personnel who are just trying to do their jobs.

Considering how popular Fortnite Battle Royale is, it made a lot of sense that Nintendo would want to get the game onto its platform, which they did when they officially announced its launch and availability on the Switch yesterday. It turned out to be a pretty smart move because according to the official numbers, it has since been downloaded 2 million times.
Yup, it has been about a day since its launch and the game has managed to rack up 2 million downloads, and considering its popularity and how many Switch units there are in the wild, we expect those numbers to keep climbing. This was confirmed by IGN who spoke to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.
According to Fils-Aime, “At this point, we’ve already had more than two million downloads on Fortnite. So that speaks to an engaged audience on Nintendo Switch as well as the core proposition of, I can now take it with me and play anywhere, anytime, with anyone, it’s really resonated.”
So far Fortnite has been on a roll and recent numbers have revealed that the game has managed to cross the 125 million player mark. Like we said we expect this number to rise as more Switch gamers will probably be getting into it, and let’s not forget that it is also slated for launch on Android this coming summer.
