Google Search Now Offers More Details About Colleges In Results

Google Search over the years has started to make searching for information easier and more efficient. For example if you search for a word definition, it will display it directly in the results which saves users time from having to go to specific websites. This is the same for movie times and so on.

Now it looks like Google will be offering similar search results when it comes to colleges. According to Google, they have announced that when users are searching for information on 4-year colleges based in the US, some basic information about those colleges will be shown directly on the search results page itself which gives users some information on what to expect at a glance.

According to Google, “Now when you search for a 4-year U.S. college like UCLA or Spelman College, information about admissions, cost, student life and more will surface directly in Search, making it easier to explore educational options and find a college that meets your needs.”

They add, “To show a more complete picture of college cost for parents and students, Search will give you easy access to information about the average cost after student aid is applied, including breakdowns by household income. You can also dig into data around graduation rates as well as typical annual income 10 years after enrollment, designed to help you better understand the potential outcomes of attending that school.”

These changes are rolling out on mobile now with desktop search also getting some of those features, so it could be worth taking a look at if you’re interested in learning more about colleges in the US.

Nintendo Officially Unveils Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

A few months ago, Nintendo confirmed that a new Super Smash Bros. game would be launching for the Nintendo Switch. However the company was mum on the details and apart from a confirmation, little was revealed about the game, at least until now where at E3 2018, Nintendo has officially unveiled Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

As the name suggests, this will be the “ultimate” Super Smash Bros. title, but why, you ask? According to Nintendo, this is because this version of the game will feature every single character from every Smash game that has ever been released. Yup, this means that players will be able to look forward to seeing old characters return to the game as per an earlier rumor.

However they won’t be 100% the same as Nintendo has also announced some changes that they will be making to characters, such as giving them new and updated costumes (such as Link being dressed in his Breath of the Wild tunic), improvements to skills, and so on. Nintendo is also claiming improvements to the overall game system, where they have developed the new engine to play faster.

It will also see the return of the 8 player mode, meaning that up to 8 players will be able to duke it out at once. As expected there are also new characters, such as the Inklings from Splatoon, Ridley, and Daisy from the Mario franchise. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently set for a release on the 7th of December, 2018 so keep an eye out for it if this is a title that you’re looking forward to.
