E3 has so far been a rollercoaster ride, with exhilarating highs and disappointing lows. Companies are busy showing their latest games, both coming very soon and still inexplicably bewildering, in an attempt to capture the hearts, minds, and money of gamers. But while these games focus on the near future, some companies are already alluding to what’s coming in the … Continue reading
As per the rumors, Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 76 will be an online game where there will be an emphasis placed on working and interacting with other players. While Fallout has supported multiplayer, what the game is known for are its campaigns and storyline which are largely single-player based.
Unsurprisingly there are some players who aren’t too thrilled about the new direction that Fallout is headed, but the good news is that you won’t have to deal with other players if you don’t want to. Bethesda’s Todd Howard confirmed that the game will support private games, which means that players won’t have to deal with other players if they don’t want to.
However the bad news is that these private games won’t be available at launch and are expected to come later. Speaking to Geoff Keighley, Howard said, “We will not being able to do that at launch, though. Our goal for launch — this is really new for us — is to have a well-running, robust service, and then some period later, we’re currently still designing what that service looks like, you’ll be able to have your own private world, and be able to mod it and do all of that.”
We’re not sure if cooperating with other players is a must in the game and whether or not players can get by by themselves, but we suppose this is an option for those who’d rather not deal with other players.

Ahead of E3 2018, the folks at Naughty Dog released a very short teaser for The Last of Us 2, indicating that they would be revealing more at E3. If this is a game that you have been looking forward to, then you’ll be very pleased to learn that Sony and Naughty Dog have since released a gameplay trailer for the upcoming game.
So far the trailers released for the game have been a bit dark and melancholy, and this gameplay trailer is no exception. It gives us a good look at the game, the graphics, and what we might be able to expect in terms of gameplay and also its storyline. The trailer also shows off some new features and mechanics, such as hiding under cars, dodging, craft new weapons such as arrows, and so on.
Unfortunately apart from the very long gameplay trailer, there was no mention of when the game will be released. The Last of Us was originally released back in 2013 which means that it has been about 5 years since the previous game. We have heard that the game could see a 2018 release, but that’s starting to seem unlikely since Sony and Naughty Dog would have announced a release date had it been planned for 2018. This means that chances are we’re looking at a 2019 release at the earliest.

Following his split from Konami, Hideo Kojima launched his own studio, Kojima Productions, where the company’s first game would be a game titled “Death Stranding”. Kojima is a masterful game designer and storyteller and so far all the trailers that have been released have only generated more intrigue as to what the game would be about.
Unfortunately if you were hoping that Kojima would finally give us the low-down on what to expect, prepare to be disappointed and be left with more questions. During Sony’s E3 2018 presentation, a new trailer of Death Stranding was released which is as mysterious as the previous trailers.
According to the description, “Besieged by death’s tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead?”
The game looks fantastic visually, thanks to the use of the Decima engine. However while the trailer does seem to contain footage of the game itself, it doesn’t really tell us much as it shows the protagonist (voiced by actor Norman Reedus) walking about sprawling landscapes. There is still no set release date for the game, but last we heard the company was aiming for a release before 2019, but either way we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more info.
