Bethesda Reveals Additional ‘Fallout 76’ Details

When Bethesda first teased Fallout 76, details were scarce. This led to some speculation as to what the game could be, which according to a Kotaku report suggested that it might be an online survival style RPG. For those wondering about it, wonder no more as Bethesda has since revealed more details about the upcoming game.

It should be pointed out that it appears that the rumors were right about it being an online game focusing on multiplayer. The game will let players group together with other players in an online world where they will attempt to survive the fallout. As per Bethesda’s earlier reveal, Fallout 76 will be set as a prequel to the Fallout franchise, meaning that players will get to play right from the start.

Bethesda also reveals that the game will be set in West Virginia and will feature the use of new graphics, lighting, and landscape technology. If you thought Fallout 4 looked good, then Fallout 76 should impress based on the screenshots we’re seeing. There will also be new features such as the Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform.

This lets players create shelter for themselves, house their supplies, and keep themselves safe. It will also let players set up shop so that they can trade with other survivors a.k.a other players. Fallout 76 is currently set for a release on the 14th of November, 2018 and players who pre-order the game will be given access to the beta.

Bethesda Announces Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Last year Bethesda announced Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. This means that if you were hoping to see a sequel, you might have to wait a bit before that happens. However Bethesda is more than happy to oblige if you’re open to the idea of spin-offs, which the company has announced at E3 2018 in the form of Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

According to the description of the game, “Announced at the 2018 Bethesda E3 Showcase, Wolfenstein: Youngblood stars Jessica and Sophia Blazkowicz, the twin daughters of Anya & BJ. Together, they’ll wage a tag-team offensive to take back Paris from Nazi tyranny and locate their father in an intense co-operative campaign. It’s up to you – and a friend – to uphold the Blazkowicz family tradition of Nazi-killin’ and save the world when Youngblood releases in 2019.”

It sounds like an interesting game and provides more background to Wolfenstein’s protagonist. Youngblood will be a co-op game, although it is unclear if this means you play with another player, or if you will get to control both characters at once. Details are a bit scarce at the moment with only the teaser trailer released, but with the game set for a release in 2019, we expect more details should be revealed later this year.

Skyrim Skill For Alexa Lets You Play The Game Using Your Voice

Bethesda made a couple of surprise announcements at its E3 conference, one of which involved the confirmation that The Elder Scrolls VI is in development. Then the company also unveiled Skyrim: Very Special Edition, which for a moment looked like some kind of joke ad that featured actor Keegan Michael Key.

In the trailer (see above) it shows Key playing Skyrim using his voice together with an Amazon Echo speaker, and while it might seem like a joke, it’s not. Bethesda has actually launched a Skyrim skill for Alexa in which players will be able to play through a game of Skyrim using nothing but their voice.

In a way it is similar to how Dungeon & Dragon sessions are actually run, where the Dungeon Master usually narrates the story, describes the scenery, and narrates encounters and fights. So in a way this version of Skyrim actually ends up feeling very D&D-esque. The best part is that unlike the ad which suggests that you would need an Echo device, you don’t.

All users need is access to Alexa, which you can get by downloading the Amazon shopping app for either iOS and Android. Once it’s installed, tap the Alexa icon and tell it to launch Skyrim and you should be good to go.

Sadly they won’t insert Rick and Morty into your favorite books as if they had been there the whole time, but they will look awesome on your bookshelf.

You need these on your bookshelf. Besides what else do you have to do while we are all waiting for the next season of the show? Might as well get yourself a cool set of bookends. Wait.
