HITMAN 2 Has Been Officially Announced

Last year when Square Enix announced that they would be parting ways with IO Interactive, the developer behind the Hitman franchise, many questioned what would become to the game? Given its popularity it wouldn’t make sense for it to just die out, and earlier this year it was announced that Warner Bros. would be picking up the publishing duties.

The good news is that if you’re looking forward to seeing a new Hitman game, you’ll be pleased to learn that HITMAN 2 has been officially announced. Note that there have obviously been more than one game in the Hitman franchise, but this will instead be the sequel to the version of the game that was released back in 2016.

According to the game’s website, “HITMAN 2 brings you 6 brand new sandbox locations to plan out the perfect assassination. Hugely complex environments provide you with endless opportunities to take out your targets in creative ways.” So far one of the locations has been revealed to be Miami.

The game will also continue to feature creative ways to take out your target, from stealth, to sabotage, and more. It will also feature a brand new campaign, Elusive Targets, and it is also expected to be continuously updated with free live content, although it appears that there will still be DLCs in the form of expansion packs. The game is currently available for pre-order where it will be released on the 13th of November for the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC.

Castlevania On Netflix Confirmed For A Third Season

With how well-received the first season of Castlevania was on Netflix, it wasn’t surprising that the animated series was renewed for a second season. However it seems that even before the second season has been aired, it looks like it might have already been picked up for a third season.

This is according to a report from Digital Spy where apparently Richard Armitage, who voices the character Trevor Belmont, confirmed it by saying, “We’re about to record a third. The second season hasn’t been aired yet, but we’re about to do a third.” Netflix has yet to comment on the show’s renewal so take it with a grain of salt, but at the same time it doesn’t really come as a complete surprise either.

The first season essentially only consisted of four episodes which is pretty short, especially when you consider that each episode barely ran under 30 minutes. This is why many are excited to see what the second season will bring to the table where it will run for 8 episodes. If there is a third season, it is unclear if we’re looking at more episodes, less, or if Netflix plans on keeping it at 8.

Either way we’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime the second season for Castlevania is currently set for a release this coming summer on Netflix.

Company Claims Apple Stole Their Logo For Siri’s Shortcuts App

One of the new features that Apple announced in iOS 12 is that Siri would be getting a new feature called Shortcuts. This is essentially similar to Google Home’s Routines where you could group together a bunch of different commands that Siri could execute at all once. For example in the morning you could get it to open the blinds, turn on the coffee machine, crank the thermostat, and so on.

Unfortunately for Apple, it seems that they might have run into some legal trouble with the logo that they chose to represent the Shortcuts app with. A UK company called Shift is claiming that Apple had stolen their logo and is asking Apple to change their logo or pay them £150,000, which as you can see in the image above does bear some similarities.

According to the cease and desist letter sent to Apple that was seen by The Sun, “Our client has spent and continues to spend substantial time and effort in advertising, and promoting its mark as the source of its downloadable application. Customers have come to recognise and associate the Shift trademark as the source of our client’s product. As a result, the Shift trademark has become an asset of susbtantial value and a symbol of our client’s goodwill.”

However some have pointed out that their shapes are different and so are the colors used, which means that it is unlikely that people would get confused between either of them. It is unclear if Apple plans to fight these claims but what do you guys think?
