It’s time to prepare for life without nationwide legal abortion.
With Trump getting another shot at moving the court further to the right, anxiety grows about what will be left.
While some will always be able to find ways to justify the groundbreaking high prices of the likes of the iPhone X or Galaxy Note 8, they seem to have started an unfortunate trend. They have proven that some consumers are not so averse at paying four-digit figures for the latest and greatest phones. That may have inspired Sony with … Continue reading

We’ve been hearing rumors about the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL for a while now, and so far we haven’t really seen that many leaked photos save for its front display. However thanks to renders shared by MySmartPrice and @OnLeaks, it looks like we might have a better idea of what to expect.
According to the leaks, the renders are said to be based on CAD files taken from the factory, which means that if it is true, could be the clearest indication of what the phones could look like yet. The renders also show off both the Pixel 3 and the larger Pixel 3 XL, with the latter sporting an edge-to-edge display with a notch at the top, similar to what we’ve seen in the previous leak.
Also what’s interesting is that based on renders, there appears to be dual front-facing cameras for either phone. We can’t be 100% sure if these are cameras or if they’re sensors, but based on their size and design they do appear to be cameras. Other than that, it looks like the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor will remain, which means that if you were hoping for advanced facial recognition ala Face ID, you might be disappointed.
It is also hard to tell if the back of these phones are made from glass which could suggest that wireless charging is supported, but either way we’ll have to wait and see. Google tends to launch its Pixel phones in October which means that we’ll still have a few months left of waiting.

While 3D Touch was not the revolutionary feature that Apple had hoped for, it does have its uses. One of the more underrated features is the ability to turn the iPhone’s keyboard into a trackpad, which lets you move the cursor on your screen around your text selection, something that is known to be quite finicky on mobile devices.
The good news for iOS users is that if you don’t own a device with 3D Touch, like the iPhone 6 or older, or an iPad, you’ll be pleased to learn that with iOS 12, Apple will be introducing a similar feature. How it works is simple, all users need to do is tap on the spacebar and hold it for a moment, after which your keyboard will then be transformed into a trackpad. Letting go will see your keyboard revert back to normal.
So is this method more efficient than 3D Touch? According to Cult of Mac, based on their tests they found that it works out to be roughly the same. This means that those without 3D Touch on their phone should get roughly the same experience as those who do have 3D Touch. It is unclear if this was designed specifically for older iPhones, or if there might be more behind this.
Either way we’ll have to wait for iOS 12 to be released in order to check it out which should be later this year, but if you can’t wait then you can go ahead and download the iOS 12 public beta to take it for a spin.

AT&T has quietly increased a certain fee it charges its wireless customers, it has been revealed. Called an “admin fee,” the wireless carrier is now charging more than double its original rate, though no big announcements about it were made and many customers are unlikely to notice the increase on their billing invoices. Until now, AT&T charged an admin fee … Continue reading
Just when you thought that the whole Apple versus Samsung lawsuit was over, just a couple of weeks ago Samsung had asked for a retrial in which they felt that the damages they were told to pay Apple was unfair. However in an interesting twist, it appears that both companies are now done with the lawsuit.
Both Apple and Samsung have made a filing with the Northern District Court of California in which they have agreed to both settle and drop the lawsuit against each other. The document reads in part, “Plaintiff Apple Inc. and Defendants Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Samsung Electronics America, Inc., and Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC would like to inform the Court that they have agreed to drop and settle their remaining claims and counterclaims in this matter.”
Apple and Samsung’s patent battle has been going on since 2011 when Apple sued Samsung for violating design patents with their Android phones. This has been a back and forth battle where each company countersued at every turn, and also brought the fight to courts in countries around the world.
It is unclear what brought about this change of heart, but interestingly enough this report comes hot on the heels of an earlier report which claims that Samsung might be trying to win orders for Apple’s A13 chipset, which we imagine this settlement could help contribute to the reparation of the relationship between both companies.

As you might have heard, there were reports from last year suggesting that Sony could be expanding the Spider-Man movie franchise with spinoffs, and one of those spinoffs is based on Morbius the Living Vampire. It looks like the movie could be progressing nicely because according to a report from Variety, the lead character has been cast.
The report claims that Jared Leto will be playing the character Morbius. The report also says that Leto has been attached to the project for a while, albeit loosely as he wanted to wait and see if the movie was headed in the right direction. However it seems that he is now fully on board, although it is unclear when production is expected to begin, but Variety’s report suggests that it might be this year, which means that a 2019 or 2020 release could be in the cards.
This isn’t the first time that Leto has dabbled in the superhero world, where previously he was probably more known for his role as the Joker in Warner Bros’ Suicide Squad. Interestingly enough Leto is expected to continue to reprise his role in a possible standalone Joker movie, so it looks like he will have a hand each in both the Marvel and DC pots.
Also this won’t be Sony’s only Spider-Man spinoff. Some of you might recall that a Venom movie is slated for later this year, and recently there have been reports that there could be a movie based around Silk, another character from the Spider-Man franchise.
