Sleep is not something that all of us should take for granted. For some of us, getting some shuteye is a chore, something that we want for it to happen so much, and yet it is so difficult to do despite obtaining additional chemical assistance from the pharmacist. Just in case you have tried just about everything else and are at the end of your rope, why not see what audio specialist Bose has in store? Their revolutionary noise-masking Sleepbuds might just be the last piece in the “puzzle”, where this pair of tiny yet truly wireless earbuds that arrives in an ultra-comfortable design will play back soothing sounds in order to block, cover, and replace the most common noises that interfere with sleep.
Bose is proud to claim that the Sleepbuds are the smallest Bose product to ever roll off from their assembly lines, where it comes packed with proprietary technology. Arriving with 10 pre-loaded “sleeptracks” that mirror the regular frequencies which are emitted through snoring, neighbors, dogs, traffic, and others, you will instead be treated to a layer of relaxing audio. To ensure a more comfortable rest, the Sleepbuds will also boast of new patented ear tips that deliver a snug, soft, barely-felt fit, with enough battery life to run for up to 16 hours — which is more than enough for anyone to get an adequate amount of sleep.
Noise-masking is considered to be a science, making it far more than just ambient sound or white noise. Turning up the volume on a calming soundtrack is not good enough, while earplugs can only do so much to block noise, being extremely uncomfortable when worn for hours on end and all the more so if one sleeps on the side. With the Sleepbuds from Bose, all of those issues are eliminated, with each bud tipping the scale at a mere 1.4 grams while measuring approximately 1cm wide and high. Arriving in a high-gloss white finish, the Bose Sleepbuds will have an asking price of $249 per pair.

Fortnite is undoubtedly one of the most popular games this year that’s available on a variety of platforms including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. While Fortnite cross-play is possible between the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, Sony doesn’t allow it on the PlayStation 4. Fans have obviously not been happy about this and after its initial response to criticism failed to assuage concerns, Sony is addressing the matter once again.
Fortnite players can’t use an account that has been used on the PlayStation 4 with the Nintendo Switch or the Xbox One for that matter. This means that they essentially have to start from scratch on the other consoles if they started playing the game on PS4 first.
Sony has been listening to the feedback from fans. Sony Interactive Entertainment America CEO Shawn Layden tells Eurogamer that the company is listening to the concerns and that it’s looking at a lot of the possibilities.
“You can imagine that the circumstances around that affect a lot more than just one game. I’m confident we’ll get to a solution which will be understood and accepted by our gaming community, while at the same time supporting our business,” he added.
It’s unclear when Sony will elaborate more on the possibilities that it’s considering. It may allow progression and sync but may not allow cross-play which will prevent Fortnite players on PS4 from playing with their friends on an Xbox One or Nintendo Switch. At least it will save players the trouble of having to start from scratch on another platform.

Bluehole’s Korean subsidiary PUBG recently filed a lawsuit against Epic Games for similarities between Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, two insanely popular battle royale titles. In an interesting turn of events, the PUBG Fortnite lawsuit has been dropped, but there’s nothing to suggest that a settlement has been reached between PUBG and Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds quickly gained popularity last year. Fornite was previously available but Epic Games released its popular battle royale mode after PUBG was released. The Fortnite battle royale mode had features similar to PUBG which became the basis for this lawsuit. There was a complication as well. Epic licenses its Unreal Engine technology to PUBG which it used to create the battle royale mode for Fortnite as well.
Bloomberg now reports that the PUBG Fortnite lawsuit has been dropped but it’s unclear if there has been a settlement between the two companies even though Bluehole had previously said that it had “growing concerns” about the similarities between PUBG and Fortnite.
The report mentions that PUBG has sent a letter of withdrawal to Epic Games confirming that the South Korean case has been closed. PUBG and its law firm have confirmed that they have withdrawn the lawsuit but didn’t say why or if a settlement has been reached. Epic Games has not commented on the matter as well.
