Huawei P20 Pro Can Now Take 960Fps Slow-Mo Like The Galaxy S9

It has been a few months since Huawei released the P20 trio which includes the entry-level P20 Lite and the flagship P20 and P20 Pro. The latter comes with Android 8.1 out of the box and Huawei has been quick to send out updates for the high-end mode. A new update has now been sent out for the Huawei P20 Pro which brings the ability to capture slow-motion video in 960 frames-per-second like the Samsung Galaxy S9 does.

Huawei is rolling out build number CLT-L29C432B131 for the P20 Pro. The update includes the latest security maintenance release for the month of June 2018 as well as camera improvements. Some UI changes have been made as well which put the zoom button lower on the screen.

This P20 Pro update also optimizes power consumption for longer usage, improves system performance for smoother operations, and optimizes the wallpaper display for a better experience.

Some P20 Pro users have also noticed that this update adds a new slow motion feature which can start recording video in slow motion as soon as motion is detected in the frame. This feature is similar to the one the Galaxy S9 has offered since launch.

Huawei is rolling out this P20 Pro update gradually so it might take a while before it goes live for all users.
