Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Update Lets You to Play As Quiet

When players think of the Metal Gear Solid series, chances are they might be thinking of the game’s primary protagonist Snake. However for gamers who are looking to shake things up a bit, you’ll be interested to learn that a recent update released for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will let players play as Quiet.

For those who are unfamiliar with The Phantom Pain, Quiet is one of the characters in the game. Quiet is featured in the campaign where she acts as the game’s female protagonist and supports Snake in both infiltration and combat, but the update will now let players play as Quiet in the game’s online competitive multiplayer mode.

In addition to being able to play as Quiet, the latest Phantom Pain update introduces new difficulty levels to Event FOB missions as well as the introduction of new development items. It has been a while since The Phantom Pain received an update as major as this, and we guess we can’t blame players for thinking that maybe updates to the game might have come to an end.

However the latest update proves that Konami is still supporting the game so if you haven’t played the game in a while, now seems like a good time to take it for a spin.

World Of Warcraft: Battle For Azeroth Pre-Launch Events Are Now Live

In Blizzard’s Warcraft universe, the Horde and Alliance factions have always opposed each other. However for the most part, they have on more than one occasion banded together to defeat an even greater threat, such as the Burning Legion, but in the upcoming Battle for Azeroth expansion, they are about to clash again.

If this is something you’re interested in, then you’ll be pleased to learn that Blizzard has announced that the pre-launch events for the Battle for Azeroth expansion are now live, starting with the War of the Thorns: Chapter 1. This particular pre-launch event will see the banshee queen Sylvanas Windrunner head towards the tree of life with the intention of destroying it.

In the meantime the Alliance will obviously not be allowing that to happen and will be doing everything they can to defend it, and presumably players on either faction will play a role in helping achieve either goal. As you might have noted, this is just Chapter 1 which means that there are probably more events in the works leading up to the expansion’s release.

The expansion is currently set for a launch of the 14th of August and if you have yet to purchase it, you can do so now. In the meantime if you are new to the game, not to worry as you’ll only need to pay for the latest expansion as all previous expansions will be made free and all you’ll need is just a subscription to the game.

Analyst Thinks Death Stranding Could Be Released On The PS4 & PS5

Hideo Kojima has been teasing his upcoming game Death Stranding for the past few years. Multiple trailers and teasers for the game have been released to date, but in terms of a release date for the game itself, that remains pretty much unclear, although many seem to be particularly hopeful that a 2019 release is in the cards.

However according to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, he begs to differ. Speaking to GamingBolt, Pachter seems to believe that Death Stranding might instead launch in 2020 where it will be released for both the PS4 and PS5, and that it could end up being a game that bridges both console generations.

According to Pachter, “It’s hard to know with Sony. Their [E3 2018] showcase was really hard to figure out, and they didn’t talk at all. My bias is that they [the PS5]  will also launch in 2020, so no reason to announce any current generation exclusives other than the ones announced so far. Death Stranding will likely be a cross-generation title.”

Sony has sort of acknowledged that they are already working on the PS5, and that the console is at least 3 years away. This means that it could arrive in 2021 at the earliest, so we’re not sure how that lines up with Pachter’s prediction. Either way this is just something that we’ll have to wait and see, so don’t hold your breath just yet.
