You No Longer Have To Talk To Use Amazon Echo Show

Amazon is rolling out an entirely different way of using its Echo Show smart display. If you don’t feel like giving the device voice commands you’re no longer bound to. The “Tap to Alexa” mode is a new addition to the device which lets you do what the name suggests, control the smart display using its touchscreen instead of voice commands.

Not only will this help people who don’t feel like giving Alexa voice commands all the time but even those who have speech impairments. They will just as easily be able to control the device by using the touchscreen.

Amazon Echo Show owners can enable the Tap to Alexa mode by going into the Settings menu followed by accessibility and toggling the feature on. Amazon will display common Alexa questions such as timers, weathers, and traffic conditions on the display.

Users will have the ability to customize their requests that they can then have Alexa to in response to a simple tap on the display. The shortcuts can also be arranged by the user as per their preferences.

The new keyboard icon will let users type our specific commands as and when required. The Tap to Alexa mode has now been rolled out to Echo Show users. They can find it in the relevant menu mentioned above.

Additional Images Of Samsung’s New Dual Wireless Charger Leaked

Reports suggest that Samsung will launch its new smartwatch with the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9th. Both devices are also expected to be released on the same date. A recent leak had revealed that the company had developed a dual wireless charger which would be able to charge both devices wirelessly at the same time. Additional images of Samsung’s new dual wireless charger have now been leaked online.

The first leak showed us a picture of the new wireless charger’s box. The box mentioned that it will be able to charge two smartphones at the same time or one handset and the Galaxy Watch. Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch is reportedly going to be called the Galaxy Watch and not the Gear S4 as many had expected.

The accessory itself will be called the Wireless Charger Duo and it will be able to charge two Qi-certified devices at the same time. They obviously don’t have to be Samsung devices. Any Qi-certified device will work with this charger.

The Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch are expected to be released on August 24 and that’s also when this accessory will likely become available. It’s reportedly going to be priced around $90 when it’s launched in the coming weeks.

Tesla Reportedly Asking For Money Back From Suppliers To Become Profitable

Many have questioned Tesla’s financial position. Its CEO Elon Musk has himself acknowledged that the Model 3 is the car that’s going to make or break it for the company. While Tesla has finally met its production goal for the Model 3 it’s yet to turn a profit. A new report reveals that the company is now asking for money back from its suppliers to become profitable.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Tesla has been dispatching memos to its suppliers as it seeks retroactive discounts. It’s basically asking them to give it money back on the payments it has made to those suppliers since 2016.

No concrete figures have been mentioned but Tesla is said to have mentioned in the memos that it’s a “meaningful amount of money.” The reason why it’s sending these memos? Tesla wants to become profitable.

The memo has been sent by a global supply manager at Tesla. The request in the memo has been described as essential to the company’s continued operation. It’s even characterized as an investment in Tesla’s future to ensure long-term growth for both Tesla and its suppliers.

Tesla has now confirmed to the scribe that it’s indeed seeking retroactive discounts from its suppliers for different projects. The company adds that such requests are standard in negotiations but consultants cited by The Wall Street Journal beg to differ.
