Leveraging robotics to undertake dangerous missions has obvious benefits for mankind, and space travel is no exception. In 2011, NASA sent its dexterous assistant ‘Robonaut 2’ on a trip to the International Space Station (ISS) with the objective of w…

Normally when people control drones they do it using handheld controllers of some sort rather like a gamepad from a console. In the future, controlling a drone may be done with no joysticks, but with movements of your body. Researchers from EPFL have created a more intuitive way to control a drone using your body. The thing about us humans is that for the most part, we can explain why we do what we do. For example if someone asked why you are picking a certain brand over another, you could potentially lay out the reasons why you chose it in a (sometimes) logical manner. However the question is, can AI do the same?
That’s actually an area that DARPA is hoping to explore further (via Engadget) as they are hoping to develop AI that can explain its actions. Dubbed “third wave” AI, DARPA is hoping to push development of AI that can explain how it arrived at its decision, for example if the AI detects an object, it will then be able to logically explain why and how they reached that conclusion.
It will be interesting to see how this can be applied in the future. At the moment it appears that AI will play a big role in our future, where it can be used in various industries such as medical where we’re seeing how some researchers are using AI to potentially look out for diseases and ailments that humans might miss.
By having AI explain itself, it can give doctors an insight as to how they reached that conclusion, or in some instances there might be false positives that doctors can then disregard.

In the recent times we’ve seen how Blizzard have taken advantage of the use of comics to help further the storyline and plot in its games. To be fair the company has also relied on novels to help add new stories to games like Warcraft and Diablo, but if you’re more of a comic book fan, not to worry as Blizzard has your back.
In a report from DualShockers, it seems that Blizzard and Titan Comics have announced that a new Diablo comic series is in the works. Details are scarce but those details are expected to be expanded upon in the future. This four-part miniseries is also expected to launch in 2018 so we expect those details to be shared soon, or maybe even during BlizzCon 2018 which will take place in November.
The comics will be written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by Piotr Kowalski and will follow a group of zealous scholars and crusaders as they try to seek the true origins of humanity. It will be interesting to see how this story could tie-in with the game or if it will help further enhance the game’s story.
At the moment Diablo 3 is the latest installment in the Diablo franchise, but there seems to be an increasing amount of rumors and reports that a Diablo 4 could be in the works and might arrive by 2020.
