Snapcash may have been ahead of its time. Launched in 2014, it got a head start on peer-to-peer payments via social networks. now that the feature is more common, Snapchat will soon be shutting it down. Because while it called dibs on that feature, it hasn’t exactly taken off the way other payment options have. More importantly, it has even … Continue reading
Yes, that title sounds equal parts confusing and equal parts ironic. Features for an unreleased smartphone found in software for an unreleased tablet. And yet that is the wonderful discovery that was unearthed from the firmware of the Galaxy Tab S4, which may launch after the Galaxy Note 9 at least. And although the pieces of new information don’t drastically … Continue reading
We know that DC has several movies lined up as part of the DCEU, and recently a trailer for the upcoming Aquaman has been released. However you might have also heard that there is a Shazam! movie that is also in the works and you’ll be pleased to learn that a trailer for the upcoming film has been released.
For those unfamiliar with Shazam, this is a character in the DC universe who is typically portrayed as young boy in school, but upon uttering the magical word “Shazam!”, he is then transformed into a muscular superhero that bears the same name. The movie will star Zachary Levi as Shazam, who many are familiar with when he starred in the TV series “Chuck”, and where he also had roles in Marvel’s Thor movies.
It was previously reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was set to star in the movie where he would play Shazam’s enemy, Black Adam. However that is no longer the case as Black Adam is expected to get his own story. However there are some who speculate that the Shazam! movie could provide some hints and clues to Black Adam.
That being said, the Shazam! movie is currently set for a release on the 19th of April which means that we still have quite a bit of ways to go before we are able to see it, but in the meantime hopefully this trailer will help sate your appetite.

Battery capacity is important when it comes to choosing a smartphone. After all what’s the point of a super powerful smartphone that comes with all the bells and whistles if it only lasts half a day, right? For those who are looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, you might be pleased to learn that the phone could be packing a 4,000mAh battery.
This is according to a filing with the National Telecommunications Agency ANATEL in Brazil in which it has been revealed that the phone could pack a 4,000mAh battery. This is actually in line with what we’ve heard, although a previous report did suggest that it might feature a 3,850mAh battery instead.
Given that the Galaxy Note 8 only had a 3,300mAh battery, either way the jump to 3,850 or 4,000mAh is very much welcome. Exactly how much additional usage time this translates to remains to be seen, but your mileage may vary depending on how you use your phone, but regardless the upgrade should make it last substantially longer.
Samsung has confirmed that the Note 9’s unveiling will take place on the 9th of August, so be sure to check back with us then for the details.

For those who enjoy animated series on television, Matt Groening is a name that you might be familiar with. For those who aren’t familiar, Groening is the creator behind animated series such as The Simpsons and Futurama. Recently it was revealed that Groening has a new series in the works dubbed “Disenchantment” that will be debuting on Netflix.
If you wanted a better idea of how the new series will look like in terms of art style and story, you’ll be pleased to learn that a trailer for the series has since been released. Unsurprisingly the style of the series shares some similarities with The Simpsons and Futurama, and if you’re a fan of those series then you should like this.
The initial run of the series will feature 10 episodes which is rather short when you consider how many episodes there are per season of The Simpsons, but then again shorter seasons seem to be the trend these days. Whether or not this new series will also manage to exude the same charm as The Simpsons and Futurama remains to be seen, but the series will be launched on the 17th of August on Netflix which means that we won’t have to wait too long to find out.

With Amazon’s Alexa and Echo speakers touting a ton of functionality across various connected objects, one of the main criticisms of Apple’s HomePod is that it seems to be lacking in the “smarts” department. To be fair Apple has marketed the speaker as being more audio-focused, but given that it houses Siri, it’s hard not to draw the comparisons.
That being said, the good news for HomePod owners is that it looks like the next update to the speaker will introduce some new Siri features. In a report from iGeneration (via 9to5Mac), it seems that in the HomePod OS 12 private beta, several new Siri features has been discovered. This includes the ability to start and answer phone calls via the speaker (presumably your iPhone needs to be on the same WiFi network), along with the ability to add multiple timers using Siri.
This is a feature that many have been asking for and it seemed like a rather basic feature that should have been added at the start, but we suppose better late than never. As for the phone call function, this has also been something that users have been asking for. At the moment the HomePod does offer up speakerphone functionality, but it is a bit limited.
Users will need to initiate the call on their phones and because the HomePod does not have access to their contacts, they will not be able to use Siri to call a specific person. However this update is expected to change that, although given that this is a private beta, it is unclear as to how many of the new features are expected to make the final cut, and if they might be different upon release.
