Apple Could Be Considering Giving In To Indian Government’s Demands

Multinational corporations such as Apple are required to comply with the various laws of the countries that they operate in. This can get tricky as it means that sometimes the laws of a country can go against the company’s own policies and values, a sticky situation that Apple has found themselves in over in India.

It has gotten to the point where Apple’s iPhones could end up getting banned from being used on the country’s communications network. However now it seems that Apple could be having a change of heart because according to reports, the company could give in to the demands of the Indian government and acquiesce to their request for a government-sanctioned DND app into the iOS App Store.

For those who aren’t familiar with this story, basically the Indian government wanted to release a DND app for smartphones in which it would allow those living in India better control over spam calls and text messages. However the app that was proposed apparently violated Apple’s own user privacy policy, which is why the company had resisted the government’s demands.

However like we said, Apple has since had a change of heart and a new report is claiming that Apple is readying the app for iOS which will comply with the latest set of regulations, and that the app could be launched early November.

LG V35 ThinQ Signature Edition Unveiled In Korea

A couple of months ago, LG unveiled their latest handset in the form of the LG V35 ThinQ. It was a very standard high-end smartphone where it came with the kind of hardware you might expect from a high-end flagship handset, but other than that it doesn’t quite stand out, unfortunately.

However LG might have a plan to change that as over in Korea, the company has since unveiled a new version of the handset in the form of the LG V35 ThinQ Signature Edition. What makes this different from the regular version? For the most part the changes are only in the exterior where it will now feature the use of zirconium ceramic on the back that is said to help prevent scratches.

They will also be offered in either a sleek white or black finish, and will also come with a pair of Bang & Olufsen headphones. However other than that, the Signature Edition will remain identical in terms of hardware specs. This means a 6-inch QHD+ display, the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a dual camera setup on the back.

There will be some additional perks such as a leather case with free engraving, an after-sales service in the form of a personal assistant, and it seems that there will only be 300 of these phones made. The phone will be priced at KRW1,999,800 which is roughly $1,800 after conversion. In the meantime if you think that this is a bit excessive, not to worry as the LG V40 is said to be planned for a launch in October.
