Samsung’s Second Dual Wireless Charger For Galaxy Note 9 Surfaces

A few days ago leaked renders revealed that Samsung will launch a dual wireless charger with the Galaxy Note 9. The accessory will enable users to wireless charge their Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy Watch, Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch, simultaneously. New renders have now surfaced which reveals that the company will also launch a second dual wireless charger for the Galaxy Note 9.

Renders of a new dual Samsung wireless charger model number EP-P3100 have now surfaced. Regulatory listings for the accessory reveal that it’s going to be available in black and white colors. It’s going to be capable of fast charging two devices wirelessly at the same time.

This wireless charger duo appears to be more compact than the one that was leaked previously but exactly how it’s going to charge two devices at once remains to be seen. It’s also possible that the listings for this accessory have placeholder descriptions that don’t accurately describe the charger’s capabilities.

This particular charger is said to cost between £35 and £50 which is going to be slightly cheaper than the other dual wireless charger. Samsung will officially unveil this accessory and others on August 9 when it takes to the stage to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 at an event in New York City.

Discovery’s Own Streaming Service May Cost $5 Per Month

The popularity of over-the-top standalone online TV streaming services has compelled networks to not only offer their channels on such services but also launch their own streaming solutions. Discovery is the next in line to consider launching its own streaming service. CEO David Zaslav has said that the company is mulling the possibility of offering the 17 channels that Discovery picked up in its acquisition of Scrips Networks Interactive as part of a separate streaming service.

Zaslav made these comments at the Television Critics Association event in LA earlier this week. He said that the Discovery streaming service could cost between $5 and $8 per month.

He also pointed out that there’s no concrete plan in place as this point in time for the launch of this service but believes that whenever this service launches it’s going to be a hit with subscribers. Zaslav particularly pointed out that the networks owned by Discovery enjoy greater popularity among female viewers.

Four of the top five cable networks amongst women are Food Network, HGTV, ID, and TLC. This means that Discovery has up to 25 percent of the female audience tuned in at any given night of the week which is hard for advertisers to pass up. However, with people already subscribing to multiple online services these days, it remains to be seen if Discovery’s offering will be compelling enough for them to add another recurring monthly charge to their credit cards.

Galaxy Note 9 Super Slow-Motion Feature To Capture More Footage

Samsung introduced its Super Slow-Motion video capture feature with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ earlier this year. It goes without saying that this feature will also be present on its second flagship of the year, the upcoming Galaxy Note 9. According to a new report, the Galaxy Note 9 will actually be able to capture more footage when it’s in the Super Slow-Motion video capture mode.

The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were initially capable of capturing 0.2 seconds of a moment in slow-motion at 960 frames per second. A firmware update was recently released for the Galaxy S9 which added the ability to capture more of a moment in slow-motion by doubling the time limit to 0.4 seconds, however, it could only do that in 480 frames per second.

The Galaxy Note 9 is understandably expected to offer this feature as well. It may allow users to capture 0.4 seconds of slow motion footage but there’s a possibility that it might allow them to do that at 960 frames per second.

There has obviously been no official confirmation about this feature from Samsung as yet and we can be sure that the company won’t really say anything about it until August 9th when it’s due to launch the Galaxy Note 9 officially.

No Man’s Sky Finally Released For Xbox One

Some of you may remember No Man’s Sky as a console exclusive for the PlayStation 4. The game has been limited to Sony’s gaming platform for nearly two years. It was confirmed by developer Hello Games earlier this year that the game would eventually be released for the Xbox One as well. This became true earlier this week when No Man’s Sky was finally released for the Xbox One.

No Man’s Sky was released for Xbox One owners in the United States on July 24th and European gamers on July 27th. This finally ended the console exclusivity that the PlayStation 4 has enjoyed for this title for almost two years since its launch. There’s no doubt that many Xbox One owners were waiting to try out this title.

A major update, Update 1.5, was released for this title earlier this week as well. It brings a full multiplayer experience to the game and also improves the graphics. Hello Games had previously revealed the multiplayer mode in a trailer and also confirmed that the base building mechanic would now be a shared experience between party members.

It remains to be seen, though, just how well this title is going to fare on the Xbox One particularly following its commendable run on the PlayStation 4.

Mowgli Movie Will Now Release On Netflix In 2019

Mowgli is a live-action Jungle Book adaptation that director Andy Serkis has been working on. Netflix has now purchased the rights to this movie and it will, therefore, be released on the online streaming network. The release date has been moved to 2019 as a result of this development which will now see this movie being released on Netflix first. This movie is different from Disney’s live-action adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling classic which the studio released in 2016.

Rohan Chand stars in the lead role with Christian Bale playing Bagheera, Cate Blanchett playing Kaa, and Benedict Cumberbatch taking on the role of Shere Khan. Andy Serkis himself will be playing Baloo.

This movie was actually supported to be released in 2016 as well but it has been delayed multiple times since then. The first trailer was released recently which mentioned October 19th, 2018 as the theatrical release date.

That was before Netflix had decided to acquire the rights to Mowgli. EW reports that with this acquisition, the release has been delayed yet again. Netflix is going to premiere Mowgli on its platform at some point next year.

Serkis has said that the decision to move the film to Netflix will help avoid a direct comparison with the Disney movie. The platform will also enable the director to have more creative freedom and explore darker themes, going so far as to explore the violence between animals.
