Blizzard To Bring Warcraft’s High Inquisitor Whitemane To Heroes Of The Storm

While Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm was kind of late to the MOBA genre, Blizzard does have an advantage over existing MOBAs and that is the game uses already-established characters from Blizzard’s various franchises. This means that players getting into the game will be met with playable characters that they already know.

For the most part the game consists of key characters in various Blizzard games, such as Jim Raynor and Sarah Kerrigan from StarCraft, Thrall and Arthas from Warcraft, Diablo, and so on. Now if you’re a fan and player of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, then you might be interested to learn that the next hero coming to the game will be none other than High Inquisitor Whitemane.

This was revealed by the Heroes of the Storm account which teased the upcoming hero. Blizzard did not dive into any details yet but we expect more will be shared at a later date. However given the character’s backstory and fighting style, we expect that she will be a magic-user and potentially a support hero.

For those who are unfamiliar with Whitemane, she is/was one of the bosses of the Scarlet Monastery dungeon in World of Warcraft. She was later “upgraded” and became one of the Four Horsemen in Acherus: The Ebon Hold.

Google To Bring 200 WiFi Hotspots To Nigeria By 2020

Bringing internet to the entire world is something that Google has always been interested in. Project Loon is one of Google’s efforts in which they have brought internet to certain parts of the world where internet access isn’t as readily available. Now it looks like Google has their sights set on Africa with Google Station.

The company has announced that they will be launching a Google Station program Nigeria, in which the company’s aim is to bring 200 WiFi hotspots across Nigeria by 2020. According to Google, “Access to the internet in Africa is growing but it’s still limited. Only 35 percent of Africans have access to the web, compared to 48 percent in Asia, 67 in Latin America, 85 in Europe and 95 in North America.”

“Many internet users in Africa don’t have Wi-Fi in their homes, relying instead on the few public Wi-Fi hotspots to connect, communicate and learn.” As it stands there are various Google Stations located in various parts of the world, such as Thailand, Mexico, Indonesia, and India, with Nigeria being the latest country to benefit from Google’s efforts.

Of course this does not mean that other parts of Africa will be neglected. Earlier this month it was revealed that Project Loon will be making its way to Kenya where the balloons will be used to provide internet to those living in the rural parts of the country.

EA’s Origin Access Premier Service Will Be Launching Next Week

EA’s Origin is essentially EA’s take on Valve’s Steam digital game distribution platform, but as you might have heard, during E3 2018 the company announced plans for Origin Access Premier, a new subscription service that they plan to launch in the near future. For those who are curious, you’ll be pleased to learn that the launch will take place next week.

This was revealed and confirmed by EA CFO Blake Jorgensen during an earning’s call on Thursday where they confirmed the service’s launch. According to EA’s Help Page, “Premier is a new membership tier that gives you access to the latest and greatest EA games before anyone else. You get access to the full game – yours to play whenever you want, for as long as you’re a Premier member.”

For those who are Origin Access members, nothing will change as your current membership will remain as the Basic membership. However users can choose to upgrade in which some of the benefits listed are access to game trials for unlimited periods of time, 10% discount on the Origin Store (which is also applicable to Basic members), and access to The Vault (another feature available to Basic members).

The EA Origin Access Premier service is expected to cost gamers $14.99 a month, or $99.99 a year. This is versus the current Origin Access subscription which is priced at $4.99 a month.
