Ford has announced two recalls, one involving 50,000 120-volt EV/hybrid chargers, the other concerning power supply cable fasteners that may have been improperly secured. The first recall, says Ford, is necessary due to the risk of fire, while the second recall could potentially result in an electrical surge that also presents a fire risk. DJI Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom Camera Drones Announced

In recent times thanks to leaks and rumors, we have been hearing about DJI’s plans to launch a new series of Mavic drones, and sure enough the company has. DJI has officially announced two new camera drones in the form of the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, with DJI touting both drones as being the “most advanced” DJI camera drone ever built.

Starting with the Mavic 2 Pro, as per the rumors, it looks like DJI has worked together with camera maker Hasselblad for this drone. The drone will feature an integrated Hasselblad camera with a 20MP 1-inch CMOS sensor and a 10-bit Dlog-M color, which according to DJI will capture four times the level of color per channel compared to the previous Mavic Pro. The camera will also feature an f/2.8-f/11 lens, along with 4K 10-bit HDR video recording support.

As for the Mavic 2 Zoom, as the name implies, this drone will be more for those who require zoom support as it will feature two-times optical zoom (24-48mm) with two times digital zoom to get a 96mm zoom. It will also feature the use of a 1/2.3-inch 12MP CMOS sensor that can actually stitch together nine photos to create a 48MP image, making it useful if you’re trying to capture sprawling landscapes.

In terms of actual drone functionality, the new Mavic 2 drones will feature an upgraded FlightAutonomy system, 10 sensors placed around the drone for better obstacle detection, and an Advanced Pilot Assistance System that lets the drone fly around obstacles on its own without stopping. The drones have also been upgraded in terms of its design where it will now be capable of flying at speeds up to 44mph, and a maximum flight time of 31 minutes.

Both drones are currently available for purchase via DJI’s website. The Mavic 2 Pro will be priced at $1,449 while the Mavic 2 Zoom will cost $1,249.

Bang & Olufsen Brings Google Assistant To The Beosound 1 & 2

There are a lot of smart speakers in the market today, although we wouldn’t necessarily consider them to be the best-sounding speakers, which is kind of the angle that Apple went with the HomePod, where the company chose to focus more on the sound quality rather than on what the speakers could do.

However if you’re looking for high-end audio that also supports digital assistants, you’ll be pleased to learn (your bank account might disagree) that Bang & Olufsen has announced that its Beosound 1 and Beosound 2 speakers have recently been updated where they will now come with Google Assistant integration.

The Beosound 1 and 2 speakers aren’t new products but the company is now shipping them with Google Assistant integration, giving them a “smarter” and more modern update. Basically what it means is that these speakers will now have the same functionality as you would expect from other Google Assistant-enabled devices, like the Google Home, and will be capable of doing everything Google Assistant can do.

The update to the speakers will also see Bang & Olufsen introduce four buttons on the top of the speaker which users can assign to their favorite tasks, such as streaming from a particular radio station, quick access to your favorite playlist, and more. As expect from Bang & Olufsen, these speakers do not come cheap and are priced at $1,750 for the Beosound 1, and $2,250 for the Beosound 2, and both speakers are expected to be available mid-September and early October respectively.

World Of Warcraft’s Battle For Azeroth Is The Game’s Fastest Selling Expansion

Blizzard’s MMORPG World of Warcraft was launched in 2004, but fast forward to 2018 and the game is still going on strong, making it one of the world’s longest-running MMORPGs around. Now given that it has been around for 14 years, you would think that interest in the game would wane, but as it turns out that hasn’t really been the case.

According to Blizzard’s announcement, it has been revealed that the recently-released Battle for Azeroth expansion is the series’ fastest-selling expansion released to date. Blizzard is claiming that the expansion has managed to sell more than 3.4 million units of the expansion in its first day alone, setting a new day-one sales record for World of Warcraft.

Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment said, “Battle for Azeroth is a definitive chapter in the Horde and Alliance conflict at the heart of Warcraft, and it’s been thrilling to see players representing their factions in record numbers and embarking on their war campaigns—not to mention joining in ourselves. But the launch is just the beginning of this conflict. More epic content is coming to World of Warcraft in the weeks ahead, and we can’t wait for players to experience the full story as it unfolds over the course of the expansion.”

There were some who expressed their skepticism when the expansion was announced, but it seems that the game going back to its roots of Alliance versus Horde has managed to recapture the imagination (and credit cards) of players.

Twelve South’s PlugBug Duo Makes The MacBook Charger More Useful

If you own one of Apple’s newer MacBook laptops, then chances are you are very familiar with the hulking charging brick that belongs to the laptop’s charger. In fact it is so big that sometimes it can actually end up taking up more than one socket due to its sheer size, which means that it leaves you with little room to charge other devices.

However not to worry because Twelve South might have the answer for you in the form of the recently announced PlugBug Duo. This is essentially the successor to the original PlugBug that will snap onto the MacBook’s charging adapter and will add two extra USB charging ports. What this means is that if you have limited space and need to charge other devices via USB, the PlugBug Duo will add two USB ports that you can charge from while charging your MacBook laptop as well.

The USB ports will offer 2.1A power output which will rapid charge current iPhone and iPad models, but note that the USB ports used as USB-A ports, so if you were hoping for a USB-C port then you might be disappointed. Twelve South will also include five adapters with the PlugBug Duo that will allow users to travel to other countries and use it without any issue.

The PlugBug Duo is priced at $50 which is somewhat expensive for an adapter, but if you think that you have a use for it, head on over to Twelve South’s website to get your hands on it.
