Yakuza Kiwami 2’s tangled plot is half the appeal

The Yakuza series on the PS4 is, at its heart, a story of family. It explores this theme through the narrative lens of the protagonist Kiryu Kazuma and the Sisyphean task of protecting the people that constitute various iterations of his family — of…

‘The Grand Tour Game’ is a near-perfect mirror of the show

When Amazon announced its Grand Tour video game, I imagined a generic racer with crudely digitized versions of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The reality, though, is quite different. Amazon Game Studios is developing a title that, in…

LG CLOi “wearable” robot is actually half an exosuit

Years ago, the word “robot” would evoke images of perhaps clunky metallic automatons, mostly in humanoid shape. These days, “bots” can mean anything from that to chatbots to, well, wearable robots. LG is definitely stretching the definition of a robot with the LG CLOi SuitBot a machine that looks more like the lower half of a futuristic exosuit. And since … Continue reading

Google Docs, Calendar also get Gmail’s quick access sidebar

It seems that Google is finally close to offering a web-based PIM software that many G Suite users may have been dreaming of. Short for Personal Information Management, PIM programs like the old school Microsoft Outlook offered a one stop shop for calendars, email, address books, and todo lists. While Google isn’t exactly shoehorning all its disparate apps and services … Continue reading

Lenovo Tab M10, Tab P10 Tablets Announced

Lenovo had earlier announced its new range of Tab E tablets which based on its specs and features were mostly aimed at the budget-conscious shopper. However if you have a bit more money to spend and wouldn’t mind getting your hands on a tablet with better specs, Lenovo is more than happy to oblige with the newly announced Tab M10 and Tab P10.

Both tablets will share similar hardware specs, namely in the processor and display department, where both will feature 10.1-inch displays with a 1920×1200 resolution. Both tablets are expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, but that’s where pretty both the similarities end.

The Tab M10 will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage, versus the P10 that packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The cameras on both tablets are also different, with the M10 using a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, while the P10 will pack an 8MP rear-facing shooter with a 5MP front-facing shooter.

Both tablets will also feature speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, but the M10 will feature only two front speakers, while the P10 will feature four. There will also be a difference in battery size with the M10 packing a 4,850mAh battery, while the P10 will see the use of a 7,000mAh battery that should offer up considerably longer battery life.

Pricing and availability of either tablet have yet to be confirmed, and while we expect them to cost more than the Tab E series that was recently announced, we doubt that they will be too pricey as affordability is one of the goals that Lenovo had when creating these tablets.

Lenovo Announces New Tab E7, E8, E10 Tablets

When you think of tablets, chances are Apple’s iPad comes to mind, but in case iOS isn’t your thing, not to worry because it looks like Lenovo will be giving Android users a bunch of different options to choose from with its recently announced Tab E7, E8 and E10 Android tablets, with each model packing different specs and features for different needs.

Starting with the Tab E7, this model will be powered by MediaTek’s chipset. We are looking at 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage that can be further expanded upon via microSD. There will also be a 7-inch 1024×600 LCD display, a 2MP rear-facing camera, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, and a 2,750mAh battery. It will also run on Android Oreo Go edition, clearly making this a tablet aimed at those on a budget.

As for the Tab E8, it looks like this model is being marketed as a family tablet as it will come with child-friendly features that will let children use the tablet safely. The E8 will also be packing an 8-inch 1280×800 LCD display, and under the hood it will be powered by MediaTek’s processor clocked at 1.3GHz, with up to 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage that can also be expanded through microSD. There is also a 4,850mAh battery that Lenovo is claiming is good for over 2 weeks of standby time, and about 10 hours of video playback. Unlike the E7 or E10, the E8 will be run on Android Nougat.

In case 7-inch and 8-inch tablets weren’t big enough, that’s where the E10 comes in. The tablet will also be an Android Oreo Go edition tablet, but unlike the previous two tablets, the E10 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 processor with support for up to 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and will pack a 10-inch 1280×800 display. There will also be a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and a 4,850mAh battery.

Pricing of the new tablets have yet to be confirmed, although based on their specs, they probably won’t break the bank.
