Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 Taylor Swift Edition

taylor-swift-instaxWe live in a world where we would like everything to be instant and on-demand as far as possible. After all, with extremely fast and reliable digital connectivity, one can get in touch with another person halfway across the world and multiple time zones without batting an eyelid. Photos are also constantly snapped using our smartphones, and it is very rare for us to print out our photos these days and store them in an album like we used to back in the days of our parents or grandparents. Fujifilm rolls back the years with the new instax SQUARE SQ6 Taylor Swift Edition, which will enable users to shoot and enjoy on-the-spot photo printing.

Perfect for events such as weddings or other kinds of social engagements where a photo booth is set up, the new instax SQUARE SQ6 Taylor Swift Edition will boast of a gold-colored newspaper pattern on a black base, representing a stylish body alongside a design that is not too far different from Taylor Swift’s latest record-breaking album reputation. The presence of a metallic ring around the lens will complement the gold design pattern, where it ends up providing a luxurious finish.

In addition, fans will love the faithful reproduction of Taylor Swift’s autograph that is printed on the back of the body. It will also be accompanied by a Taylor Swift original camera strap and film case. In order to commemorate the release of the latest addition to the instax family, there will also be original Taylor Swift Edition film that features a print of Taylor Swift’s autograph on a black frame.

This is an old school camera, so you had best know stuff like lighting conditions and focus range, since it lacks the versatility of a digital camera that allows you to simply shoot all that you want before deleting whatever photos that are not up to snuff and keeping the good ones. It takes approximately 90 seconds to develop the film after each shot, depending on the existing ambient temperature. Pricing details have yet to be determined as at press time.

Lenovo’s Smart Home Essentials Turns Your Home Into A Smart Home

Years ago, the idea of coming home and turning on the lights and adjusting the thermostat using nothing but our voice seemed like something right out of a movie. However that future is here and we’re starting to see more companies hop on board the smart home bandwagon, with Lenovo being the latest to toss their hat into the ring with the launch of their Smart Home Essentials.

The Smart Home Essentials isn’t just one product, but rather a family of products which are designed to give users the ability to easily turn their homes into smart homes. This includes the Lenovo Smart Plug which users can connect existing appliances to, where users can then remotely turn it on or off.

There will also be the Lenovo Smart Bulb, which as the name implies will give users the ability to remotely control their lights that the bulb has been installed in. This includes dimming the lights as well as adjust the light’s color temperature to create a cozy environment, or one that is suited to reading/working.

Then there is also the Lenovo Smart Camera that users can use as a home security camera. It will not only be able to record video, but audio as well. All of these devices can be connected via the Lenovo Link app to control them, and they will also work with the Lenovo Smart Display with Google Assistant or Alexa.

Lenovo is expected to launch the Smart Home Essentials this coming November where the Smart Plug will be priced at $30, the Smart Bulb will retail for $30 each, while the Smart Camera will go for $100.

Campfire Beer Caramelizer Wants to be your Cold Weather Friend

It’s late August, and already the mornings are getting cool and the Aspens are starting to change colors here in Colorado. That means that the masses will soon be sitting outside around fire pits roasting marshmallows. Assuming the burn bans are ever lifted. While your kids eat some gooey s’mores, the adults can caramelize a beer and drink up fireside with this gadget.

It’s called the Campfire Beer Caramelizer and promises to add a rich frothy texture and sweet, smoky taste you your beer by caramelizing the natural sugars in alcohol. The idea is that you plunge this poker into the fire and get it nice and hot. Then you cram it down the gullet of your beer glass, remove it, and drink up. You may have never heard of caramelizing beer, but apparently this is a German tradition.

The tool isn’t pointy and has a wooden beer tap handle, so you don’t stab yourself in the eye with a hot poker, or caramelize your hand while using it. This is perhaps the greatest campfire gadget for beer fans ever, and you can grab one for $35 via UncommonGoods.

This Life-size LEGO Bugatti Chiron Looks Incredible, and Really Can Drive

Recently LEGO Technic released a scale model of the Bugatti Chiron, and I thought that was pretty darned impressive in its own right. But now, a team of ingenious and talented designers and engineers have gone above the call of duty, creating a full-size replica of the Chiron, made almost entirely from LEGO Technic parts. Oh, and it actually holds a full-size human and can be driven.

It took the team at LEGO Technic’s Kladno factory in the Czech Republic over 13,000 hours to design and build this incredible vehicle. Over 1 million individual LEGO components went into the build, including over 2,300 individual LEGO Power Functions motors, ganged together to produce enough power to move this 3,300 pound replica. Incredibly, no glue was used to hold the parts together either, a rarity even for large-scale static LEGO models, let alone one that can be driven.

It tops out at just 12 mph, and its motors generate a total of 5.3 horsepower, a far cry from the 1,479 horses that an actual Chiron makes, but I don’t care. This thing is simply amazing on every level. Just look at this thing. It lives at the perfect intersection of three of my favorite things – cars, technology, and toys.

Every detail is impeccable, from the clusters of LED headlamps, wrapped in new transparent Technic bricks, to the retractable rear spoiler out back. LEGO, you have truly outdone yourselves with this build.

Now check out the LEGO Chiron in action in the video below, as it takes its inaugural ride with championship race driver Andy Wallace behind the wheel. Then take a gander at the gallery below for some behind-the-scenes photos of the car’s construction.

Physicists Just Made the Most Precise Measurement Ever of Gravity's Strength

Gravity might feel strong if you drop a bowling ball on your feet, but is in fact the weakest force. Compare it to electromagnetism: the pull of all the Earth’s gravity can’t stop you from picking up a paperclip with a refrigerator magnet. That weakness makes gravity incredibly difficult to measure.
