Infinity Gauntlet Slippers: The Power to Rule the Floor

Feel just like Thanos with these officially-licensed Avengers: No Infinity Stone Unturned Slippers. They will be warm and cozy and give you that fuzzy feeling that only Thanos can deliver.

Let’s face it, gauntlets are heavy and get in the way. Plus it’s just hard to do stuff with your hand when you are wearing heavy metal gauntlets. Wearing slippers is a much better option. I can see Stan Lee wearing these around the house, snapping his fingers, and making people disappear. I can also picture Thanos wearing these with a robe, like the Big Lebowski and having a white russian.

These gold slippers have faux infinity gems, but real comfort. You might say they are MARVEL-ous and that they’ll give you INFINITY comfort. These are perfect for anyone who likes to lounge around the house, but also wants to rule the universe, while being too lazy to actually do it, so they just watch Netflix instead. In other words, me. Yeah, that sounds like me. Just ordered two pairs.

They are available for preorder from Merchoid for just $17 and ship in December. You better get these slippers while you can. They won’t be around for very long.

Faxploit turns archaic technology into a security risk

The combined might of email, scanners, and computers should have made the venerable fax machine obsolete right? Millennials might laugh at it and presume it went the way of the floppy disk but it might shock them to know that more 300 million fax numbers still exist. That may not mean that all of those are in use but it … Continue reading

World’s oldest cheese found in Egypt

Cheese is great, especially when melted on a pizza. I don’t think they had pizza back in ancient Egypt, but apparently, the ancient Pharaohs did have cheese. Researchers have found what they believe to be the oldest cheese in the world inside the tomb of a 13th century BC mayor of Memphis in ancient Egypt. This mayor was called Pthames … Continue reading

Tom Cruise Reportedly In The Running To Play Green Lantern

It’s safe to say that the first Green Lantern movie was not the best superhero movie we’ve seen. Even its star, Ryan Reynolds (who has since had huge success playing as Deadpool), admitted as much. However it seems that the Green Lantern movie could be getting a reboot, and this time it could come with one of Hollywood’s biggest names attached to it.

In a report from Crazy Days and Nights (via Comic Book), apparently Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise is in talks to play as Green Lantern in the movie’s reboot. The movie in question is said to be Green Lantern Corps and based on the original script, apparently Cruise’s character would have been killed off, which is reportedly one of the reasons he has yet to sign on because it would seem that Cruise wants that to be changed before he gets on board with the project.

Cruise has done plenty of action movies over the course of his career, so for him to jump into a superhero role would not necessarily be a stretch of the imagination. Also given that Green Lantern is part of DC, Cruise’s Mission Impossible co-star Henry Cavill (who plays as Superman in the DCEU) has expressed his interest in working with cruise again.

According to Cavill, “I would love to work with Tom again. So, any opportunity I get would be enormous fun.” No word on when Green Lantern Corps is expected to be released, but hopefully we’ll get some kind of confirmation soon.

Luxury Retailer Already Taking Pre-Orders For Gold-Plated 2018 iPhones

No one knows when Apple’s 2018 iPhones are expected to be announced, although last we heard a launch in the second week of September is possible. There is also the question of when they will be made available, which at the moment is really anyone’s guess. However regardless of the dates, luxury retailer Goldgenie has already started taking pre-orders for the phones.

For those unfamiliar, Goldgenie is a company that specializes in creating luxurious versions of existing products. With the 2018 iPhones, it seems that the company is banking on the rumors that there will be a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch model, and will be taking pre-orders for either model where they will be coated in 24k gold.

As expected given that they will be gold-plated, they won’t come cheap. The 5.8-inch model will retail for £1548.50, while the larger 6.5-inch model is priced at £1698.50. It should be pointed out that while those are already very hefty price tags, these are actually discounted by 50% because when they do become available, they will be priced at £3097 and £3397 respectively.

The price you’ll be paying is also not just for the gold, but also the additional perks, such as a cherry oak finished box, along with a 24/7/365 days concierge service for five years.
