Posted in: Today's ChiliThe Mendocino Complex Fire just keeps setting records. Last week, the combination of the Ranch and River fires set the record as the state’s largest fire complex in history. But now the Ranch Fire alone is the biggest single fire to ever scar the state.
Grabbing breakfast or lunch with coworkers can be a great way to break up the day, but more often than not you’ll just wallow in your own indecision before ordering a bad $12 sandwich.
Facebook’s new acquisition will make it much easier even for amateur live broadcasters to add interactive effects on their videos. The social network has snapped up a startup called Vidpresso*, which offers clients access to a technology that allows…
NVIDIA Quadro RTX bring Turing architecture real-time ray tracing
Posted in: UncategorizedAs technology evolves, so do users’ tastes and expectations. No longer are they satisfied with crude digital approximations of real-world objects and demand convincing and photorealistic renderings more than what current computing technology can provide. Unless they happen to have one of NVIDIA’s three new GPUs. Boasting to have brought technology that wasn’t expected until at least 2023, NVIDIA is … Continue reading
They might be getting a lot of flak for fake news and inconsistent rules, but social media is just as big if not bigger than ever. It could be even bigger if they actually reached markets where even traditional sources of news and communication have a hard time catering to. That’s why there is a sudden rash of “lite” versions … Continue reading
Samsung Wireless Charger Duo Now Available For $120
Posted in: UncategorizedOne of the rumors leading up to the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was that Samsung could have a new wireless charger in the works for the phone and other Samsung devices. The Note 9 has since been launched and if you’re interested in the wireless charger as well, it looks like you will be able to get your hands on it as well.
Available in either a black or white finish via Samsung’s website, this wireless charger is pretty much as what the leaks had previously revealed. Unlike other wireless charging pads that are flat, Samsung’s Wireless Charger Duo will come with a stand/docked portion where users can prop up their phones so that they can see its screen while the device is being charged.
There will also be a flat option for users to put other wireless charging compatible devices, like in the photo above could be used for smartwatches or potentially another phone. Samsung claims that the charger will offer fast charge functionality with the ability to output 7.5W of power. It is also Qi compatible which means that using it with non-Samsung devices will be fine as long as those devices are also Qi compatible.
There will also be a built-in fan to help keep the charger cool, which was one of the alleged reasons why Apple’s AirPower was delayed due to overheating issues. As for pricing, it does not come cheap at $120, but if the rumors are true, it could be cheaper than Apple’s AirPower which was recently rumored to cost $150.

If the Battle for Azeroth expansion for World of Warcraft is something that you’ve been looking forward to, you will be pleased to learn that the expansion is now live. This will be the latest expansion for World of Warcraft and it also marks the seventh expansion in the game since the game was released back in 2004.
Battle for Azeroth will increase the level cap from 110 introduced in Legion to 120. It will also introduce new gameplay, new items, new instances and raids, as well as new locations for players to explore which includes Kul Tiras which is where the Alliance players will be primarily based in, and Zandalar which will be the primary location for Horde players.
There is also the introduction of new Allied Races which are basically sub-races of existing races that have been added to the game. These Allied Races are unlockable once you’ve grinded enough reputation, and players will be able to roll new characters with these new races if they wish.
The expansion is available for purchase via Blizzard’s website where it will be priced at $50 for the standard edition, or $70 for the digital deluxe edition that will come with additional in-game items. Gamers will be required to have an active subscription in order to play, but this subscription will also include access to all previously released expansions so players won’t need to buy all of it.
