If you have been waiting for the Mega Drive Mini from Sega then there’s some bad news. You’re going to have to wait for it a little bit longer. The company has officially confirmed through its Twitter account that the global release of the Mega Drive Mini has been delayed to 2019. The Mega Drive Mini is a miniature version of its classic console which was expected to be widely released this year.
It’s not uncommon for these companies to launch such mini consoles as they’re tapping into nostalgia and it certainly appears to be working. Sony itself has announced a miniature version of the PlayStation 1. It’s called the PlayStation Classic and will ship with 20 “genre-defining” titles. It will be released this December for $99.
Sega was originally supposed to release it to commemorate the console’s 30th anniversary in Japan. It hasn’t said when the Mega Drive Mini would be released in other markets across the globe. The company confirmed today that this miniature console will be released as the Mega Drive Mini in Japan and Europe. It will be called the Genesis Mini in North America.
The company further said that it’s working with a developer in Japan to go through the design and software for this console once again. It hasn’t been confirmed if AtGames, the U.S.-based developer behind the Genesis Flashback, is not involved with this project any longer.

iOS 12.1 beta hints at new iPad Pro
Posted in: Today's ChiliiOS 12 is still brand new, but Apple is already testing iOS 12.1 with a developer beta version. Steve Troughton-Smith and Guilherme Rambo found references to a brand new iPad that would support Face ID.
First, there are changes to Face ID. You can find references to landscape orientation in the iOS 12.1 beta. Face ID on the iPhone is limited to portrait orientation. Chances are you didn’t even notice this limitation because there’s only one orientation for the lock screen and home screen.
But the iPad is a different story as people tend to use it in landscape. And even when you hold it in landscape, some people will have the home button on the left while others will have the home button on the right.
In other words, in order to bring Face ID to the iPad, it needs to support multiple orientations. This beta indicates that iOS 12.1 could be the version of iOS that ships with the next iPad.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s a new device codename in the setup reference files. This device is called iPad2018Fall, which clearly means that a new iPad is right around the corner.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously indicated that the iPad Pro could switch from Lightning to USB-C. This would open up a ton of possibilities when it comes to accessories. For instance, you could plug an external monitor without any dongle and send a video feed to this external monitor.
As for iPhone users, in addition to bug fixes, iOS 12.1 brings back Group FaceTime, a feature that was removed at the last minute before the release of iOS 12. If it’s still too buggy, Apple could still choose to remove the feature once again. Memojis could support iCloud syncing across your devices, which would be useful for an iPad Pro with Face ID.
Today, Sony announced the PlayStation Classic, a new mini console that comes loaded with 20 PS1 games. With Nintendo’s success in selling the NES Classic and SNES Classic, this is something we should have seen coming, as the PlayStation 1 was home to many fondly remembered titles. The timing of this announcement is pretty perfect too, as the original PlayStation … Continue reading

Disney had previously confirmed that Marvel will be part of its upcoming streaming service that is expected to launch in 2019. Now according to a report from Variety, more details have been revealed in which it has been reported that some Marvel heroes will actually be getting their own series on the streaming service.
If the report is accurate, it seems like Loki and Scarlet Witch are amongst some of the heroes from the MCU to get their own series. Now this isn’t the first time that Marvel has launched TV series of their own. In fact a deal at the moment with Netflix has produced several Marvel-related TV series.
However one of the main differences is that these series will actually use the actors who played those characters in the movies. This means that we can expect to see Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen reprise their roles as Loki and Scarlet Witch respectively, but on the smaller screen. Variety’s sources are also claiming that Disney will be investing heavily into these series, with a budget expected to rival major studio productions.
It will be interesting to see how these series will turn out and how they might expand on the MCU, a massive empire that Disney and Marvel have undertook. Either way we’ll probably have to wait a bit as Disney’s streaming service is only expected to be launched in 2019, so until then take it with a grain of salt.

Online video games sometimes seem to bring out the worst in people, where gamers end up saying things to each other that no one in their right mind would in real-life and face to face. Unfortunately for a certain 45-year old Michael Aliperti, he might have taken things too far when he threatened to kill an 11-year old kid while playing Fortnite.
According to law enforcement, Aliperti was arrested at 1AM when police received reports that he had sent threatening voice and text messages to the boy who won the match of Fortnite against him. A report from NBC also revealed the message that Aliperti sent to the child in which he wrote, “I am going to find you with a gun. You dead. I will come to your house tonight and f*** your world up.”
Additional threats revealed that Aliperti had also stated his plans to carry out the killing at the child’s school, which resulted in local police treating it as a school shooting threat. Aliperti is now being held on a $2,500 bond and has been charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and acting in a manner to injure a child.
Aliperti’s actions are unfortunately not an uncommon one in the gaming scene. We have seen and heard multiple instances in the past of gamers harassing other players, to the point of swatting each other, with the most recent case actually resulting in an innocent life being taken.
