SteelSeries takes the limited edition route with mouse and mousepad

HOWL-RIVALRemember how Counter-Strike used to be all the rage those years ago when the Half-Life mod grew to be a global phenomenon? Well, it is still a very popular game today, although there are other attractive alternatives around. SteelSeries has worked with Valve to churn out a limited-edition line of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) branded peripherals, where this new mouse and mousepad will boast of a design that is based on CS:GO’s most legendary gun skin, the M4A4 Howl.

Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO, shared, “Valve has been a valued partner for a long time, first with the creation of the Rival 300 Fade and Rival 300 Hyper Beast, and CS:GO integration in SteelSeries Engine. The Rival 310 and QcK+ Limited Howl Editions are the next chapter in our partnership to help CS:GO players be as accurate as possible while sporting an iconic look.”

Firstly, the SteelSeries Rival 310 mouse was specially developed to deliver an unparalleled degree of accuracy courtesy of the exclusive SteelSeries TrueMove3 sensor. The Rival 310 Howl Edition would feature the legendary design of CS:GO’s most infamous gun skin, boasting of a split-trigger button design and multi-color Prism RGB illumination that is compatible with SteelSeries Engine software. Expect to fork out $69.99 for the Rival 310 Howl Edition.

As for the QcK+ Limited Howl Edition mousepad, this 450mm x 400mm x 3mm gaming peripheral is made of a micro-woven cloth that has been specially engineered to improve mouse glide and product minimal friction. Sporting a high thread count as well as surface variation, tracking accuracy is optimized for both optical and laser sensors. Expect the QcK+ Limited Howl Edition to retail for $29.99. Either way, you will be able to own a gaming mouse and mousepad combo that is guaranteed to earn you kudos and compliments from those who know their Counter-Strike and would love to give it a go.

Minecraft: Dungeons PC Release Confirmed For 2019

The folks behind Minecraft have announced a new project at MineCon 2018, the convention that’s about all things Minecraft. The title is called Minecraft: Dungeons and while not a lot of information has been revealed about this title right now, Mojang has revealed that the game is going to be released for PC next year.

The official webpage for the game describes it as an all-new action adventure game that’s inspired by classic dungeon crawlers. That’s also the idea that we get from the official announcement trailer for Minecraft: Dungeons. The trailer makes this inspiration very clear as well.

Minecraft: Dungeons will allow players to either go at it in single player or team up with up to four friends and play this dungeon crawler among themselves. Like all games of this kind, the players will be up against multiple enemies and bosses which they will have to defeat in order to progress.

During this entire process, players will be able to pick up new weapons and items which will further enhance the gameplay experience going forward. No further information has been provided by Mojang at this point in time. It hasn’t even confirmed precisely when we can expect this title to arrive next year. Mojang hasn’t said when this title will be coming to consoles.
