Take A Street View Tour Of Google’s First Garage Office

Google the company may have been incorporated on September 4th, 1998 but the company likes to celebrate its birthday on September 27th. It has done just that over the past decade. It’s September 27th today which means that Google is now 20 years old. To celebrate the milestone, it has put together a Street View virtual tour of the first garage office of the company that was set up back in 1998.

This garage is where the internet search giant was founded. One has to be astounded by the sheer ground it has covered and with it has become in just 20 years. Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin inside Susan Wojcicki’s Menlo Park garage. That’s where the first office of the company was.

The Street View virtual tour has been meticulously put together to recreate just how it looked back in 1998. More Google memorabilia can be found once the secret door is opened and the neon light is turned on. Like many tech giants of Silicon Valley, Google to had humble beginnings.

The virtual tour allows us to get a glimpse of the early moments of the company that we now rely on for so much today. It would have been hard to imagine 20 years ago that Google would become the behemoth that it is today but it is what it is now and it’s not going away anytime soon.
