Saturn’s moon Titan also has dust storms

Contrary to what most of us may have imagined as kids, the planets in our solar system aren’t all just spheres of solid rock. Some are completely gaseous, others may be liquid. Their moons are just as varied in composition and behavior. Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, is strangely one of the few members of our neighborhood that has some … Continue reading

Netflix Still Interested In Stranger Things Game Despite Telltale’s Closure

Last week it was reported that Telltale Games would be shutting down and in the process, they have laid off the majority of their staff. Many wondered about the state of the company’s ongoing projects, one of which included a Stranger Things game based on the Netflix series, but there is some good news as it seems that Telltale’s closure has not affected Netflix’s interest in such a game.

In a statement made to Polygon, Netflix said, “We are saddened by news about Telltale Games. They developed many great games in the past and left an indelible mark in the industry. Minecraft: Story Mode is still moving forward as planned. We are in the process of evaluating other options for bringing the Stranger Things universe to life in an interactive medium.”

It is unclear what kind of options we are looking at, maybe it could be developed by another studio, but regardless it seems that the game will still be developed. It is also unclear as to whether or not this will result in the game being delayed (there was no launch date mentioned in the original announcement), but we wouldn’t be surprised if there was.

Unfortunately not all games were lucky enough as it was previously reported that Telltale’s The Walking Dead might not get to live out the final season as it is expected to come to an end after the second episode from the final season is released.

Identical Twins Appear To Successfully Fool Face ID On The iPhone Xs Max

Apple has touted that Face ID is more secure compared to Touch ID. This is because it can’t be fooled by photos, and unlike fingerprints which can be lifted, it’s hard to “replicate” a face as Apple has worked with mask makers to try and teach its system to be able to detect real faces from masks.

However if there is one area that Apple has acknowledged Face ID can fail in, it would be amongst family members that look like, especially identical twins. Now if you were hoping that Apple would have improved upon Face ID with their new iPhones, it doesn’t seem to be the case as in the video above, twin brothers Niko and Marko Martinovic show how they managed to get past Face ID on the new iPhone Xs Max.

Like we said, Apple has put a little caveat/disclaimer about Face ID protection again twins and family members that closely resemble each other, so it is something that we are aware about. However we’re sure that there might be some who are hoping that Apple would have addressed some of these issues with their new phones.

Perhaps these improvements will come about in future iterations of Face ID, but for now it doesn’t really seem like much has changed, at least on the twins front.

iPhone Xs Max Outselling iPhone Xs By Four Times

For years Apple clung onto the belief that the original iPhone’s size was the perfect size. It was only with the iPhone 5 that Apple started increasing the display size, and it seems that there is now proof that yes, users do seem to prefer larger screens because according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone Xs Max is selling pretty well.

In a research note from the analyst obtained by MacRumors, apparently the iPhone Xs Max is outselling the iPhone Xs by as much as four times. According to Kuo, “We have determined that the demand for XS Max is better than expected (3–4 times that of XS). The gold and space-grey colors are significantly more popular than the silver. 256GB is the most popular, and 512GB is subject to a serious shortage because only Samsung can currently ship NAND Flash well.”

“We are positive that XS Max shipments will grow steadily in 4Q18 thanks to demand from Asia market and the gift season.” This can actually be seen for yourselves if you were to head on over to Apple’s website, where the iPhone Xs Max has shipping estimates of 1-2 weeks, while the iPhone Xs will ship out within 3-5 days.

Apple has yet to announce the official numbers, but the company has stopped announcing first weekend sales for the past few iPhones already so we’ll probably have to wait until Apple’s next financials to get a better idea of how well the phones have sold.

Pulpy Epic Shadow Builds to Action That'll Blow Your Mind

The first thing you notice about Shadow is how accurately descriptive its title is. Save for the skin tones, most of the film is drained of color, giving the whole thing a black-and-white, graphic-novel feel. That, in turn, sets a very specific dark tone—which works quite well, but also makes a slow-building movie…
