Verizon Will Sell New Nokia Phone As A Prepaid Device

It was reported last week that Nokia phones could be returning to Verizon. The brand has been licensed by a Finnish company called HMD Global which makes Nokia smartphones now. It has been a few years since Verizon offered a Nokia smartphone. The last devices on its roster were from the Windows Phone-powered Lumia era. A new Nokia device is expected to be offered by Verizon soon and it will reportedly be sold as a prepaid device.

This, according to @evleaks, who first brought us word of a new Nokia device heading to Verizon. He has followed up with an additional tweet to reveal that this device will be sold prepaid as the Nokia 2V.

It would make sense for the Nokia 2V to be sold as a prepaid device because it will be priced at just above $100 most likely. It’s an entry-level device and they’re often sold prepaid only. The Nokia 2V is expected to be similar to the Nokia 2.1 inside and out.

This means that it’s going to have a 5.5 inch LCD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 1GB RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery. It will run Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. There will be an 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera.

Verizon and HMD Global have yet to confirm the arrival of this device on the country’s largest carrier.

Infographic Details Almost All Red Hydrogen One Specs

Some of you might be aware that high-end camera maker Red has been working on a smartphone called the Hydrogen One. It first confirmed the existence of this device back in 2017 and while the device was supposed to be released earlier this year, the pre-orders haven’t even shipped yet. That’s going to change this week as the company finally starts shipping pre-orders. There’s a new infographic online now which details almost all of the Red Hydrogen One specs.

Never before have the specs of this device been listed in such detail so this will certainly be appreciated by those who have been waiting for this device to ship. Red confirmed last month that it’s delaying the titanium version of this device after a botched production run. It’s going to give customers a free aluminum version of the device while they wait for the titanium version to ship.

One of the defining features of this device is the 5.7 inch 2D and holographic display that has 2560×1440 pixel resolution. It can even capture and display holographic H4V video and stills. The device comes with spatial surround sound support.

The 12.3 megapixel rear and 8.3 megapixel front “stereo” cameras aside, the device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a massive 4,500mAh battery which will keep the lights on. All of this technology is packed inside a rugged aluminum and kevlar body.

OnePlus 6T Price And Configurations Revealed In New Leak

A new leak has surfaced online today which claims to reveal the OnePlus 6T price and configurations. The upcoming handset will apparently have a higher base price than its predecessors and will be available in three configurations. OnePlus hasn’t officially confirmed the pricing details for this device, though.

The leak originates from India with local pricing for the device. A simple conversion gives us a rough idea of the price range to expect for this device. The base model may start at over $510 and the price could go all the way up to ~$610 for the top-of-the-line model.

The three configurations that may be offered for this device will feature 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage as well as 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The prices are likely higher than the OnePlus 6T’s predecessors owing to a new distribution strategy by the company aside from the cost of the technology improvements.

OnePlus 6T is the company’s first device to ship with a display-based fingerprint sensor. It has confirmed that already. It’s also not going to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. OnePlus has confirmed that the device will come with Android Pie out of the box. It will be officially unveiled on October 31st.
