PS4 messaging bug fixed, consoles are saved

Almost everything is connected to the Internet these days. One benefit of that is the availability of data and services almost everywhere. One disadvantage is that it can take little to bring connected devices down. That was the hard truth that PlayStation 4 owners learned over the weekend when a simple message sent through Sony’s PlayStation Network or PSN would … Continue reading

Pixel 3 AI mostly happens on the device only

Our smartphones have become a lot smarter, mostly thanks to the inclusion of artificial intelligence or AI in their software features. This AI trend, however, started back when even our powerful handhelds didn’t have enough juice to perform all the processing and learning required to make these AI work. To some extent, they still aren’t, at least on the learning … Continue reading

Someone Used a Deep Learning AI to Perfectly Insert Harrison Ford Into Solo: A Star Wars Story

Casting anyone other than Harrison Ford in the role of Han Solo just feels like sacrilege, but since Ford is now 76 years old, playing a younger version of himself would be all but impossible. Or at least impossible if you rely on the standard Hollywood de-aging tricks like makeup and CG. Artificial intelligence, it…

Phiaton goes on the offensive with new Bolt BT 700 wireless earbuds

Phiaton-BOLT-BT-700Phiaton, a company that continues to uphold high standards when it comes to high-performance personal audio products, has broken new ground yet again with the Bolt BT 700. Having absolutely nothing to do with the world’s fastest man, the Bolt BT 700 lays claim to being the first true wireless earphones in the world that boasts of balanced armature drivers as well as a portable charging case that will also carry the function of a wireless speaker.

This is truly a unique proposition, far better than any other space age design that Phiaton has come up with in the past. The Bolt BT 700’s versatile charging speaker case will be able to provide up to five hours of music playing time on a single charge, enabling it to fully charge the earphones up to three times per charge. Such numbers translate to a total of 20 hours of play time, where the quick charge feature paves the way for one hour of music playing time on the earbuds with a mere 10 minute charge.

Sporting Phiaton’s very own Balanced Armature Technology, Bolt’s custom-made drivers ensure that your ears will enjoy fine-tuned, high resolution audio as well as faster response with impressively detailed sound. All of these work in tandem to be the first of their kind in the true wireless market, where the drivers make each vibrant note come alive so that users are able to experience mid-high frequency tones while getting in all the textured nuances and detail of the original sound.

Touch interface controls and buttons on the earphones are standard for convenient music and call controls, where it works equally well with Siri and Google Assistant in order to deliver hands-free voice commands. Throw in IPX4 sweat and water resistance, and the Bolt BT 700 is ideal for those who love music while working out. It connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0, and for an asking price of $139, the Bolt BT 700 certainly offers plenty of value for money.

Twitter Confirms And Fixes Random Notification Bug

If in the past few hours you’ve started receiving notifications from Twitter that looks like a jumble of alphabets and numbers, don’t worry about it as it does not mean that your account or Twitter has been hacked. It turns out that this was simply a bug that Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey has confirmed that they have since fixed.

For those who didn’t receive such notifications, basically some Twitter users started receiving notifications on their phones from Twitter that contained what appeared to be random alphabets and numbers jumbled together. It looked bizarre and we guess we can’t say we blame you if you thought that you might have been hacked in some way, but apparently that is not the case.

According to Dorsey, this has to do with invisible background notifications which were accidentally displayed when they should have stayed hidden. “We send an invisible background notification to the app with badge counts (mainly unread notifications, DMs, etc.). The issue caused these notifications to become visible for a short period of time. We don’t know exactly why, but quickly reverted.”

This problem has since been fixed so if you were receiving such notifications, you should no longer see them. For those who didn’t get them, then we guess you won’t really need to worry about.
