First OnePlus 5G Phone Could Be $100 More Than OnePlus 6T

Smartphone manufacturers will start delivering their 5G-compatible phones early next year once mobile carriers enable their commercial 5G networks. OnePlus will be launching a 5G phone as well early next year and a new report claims that it would be $100 more expensive than the OnePlus 6T.

The OnePlus 6T was recently launched by the company. It starts at $549. OnePlus has said that its first 5G phone won’t be the OnePlus 7 so it may be an entirely different device. Reports suggest that it will be based on the Snapdragon 8150 processor with the Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem.

The OnePlus 7 is actually expected to be a 4G device. It may also get a price bump next year but it wouldn’t be the full $100 that we can expect for the 5G phone. OnePlus will likely start revealing details about it bit by bit in the first few months of the new year.

A new report claims that the unnamed OnePlus phone with 5G that’s set to arrive early next year is going to cost $650. That would make it $100 more than the base model of the OnePlus 6T. The price premium would be expected on a first-generation 5G smartphone, particularly considering the fact that 5G will be on the bleeding edge of technology in 2019.

Fallout 76 Gets Its First Post-Launch Update with Lots of Bug Fixes

Fallout 76 is here, but there’s a big divide among fans. Some like this new take on the franchise, while others feel disappointed, even betrayed. Many wanted a simple new Fallout game, not a new version that does something different. Well, Bethesda can always improve it with updates. Speaking of which, the first post-launch update is here, and it’s massive. The patched game weighs in at a whopping 47GB, which is nearly as big as the entire game. You’ll need plenty of bandwidth to grab this update, so if you plan on playing over Thanksgiving, you’d better start downloading today.

Bethesda says that future patches will vary in size, but they should not be as big as this one is. They made a few changes to fix in-game freezes and performance issues, and to bolster the stability of the servers and the game client. Other fixes address a wide range of things, from enemies and crafting to quests and more. Respawning after being killed in PVP combat will now clear your hostile status. There are also fixes to PVP’s Seek Revenge mechanic, regarding displaying accurate Cap rewards when either hunting down a player who killed you or killing a player who is seeking revenge.

There have also been some changes to crafting and workshops like preventing blueprints from breaking into smaller parts when you log out. A bug that would return items to a broken state after they had been fixed has also been addressed. You can read the full list of patch notes on the Bethesda website.

So no matter what you think of the game, it’s good to hear that Bethesda is already working to make it better.

Airbnb Will Now Let You Stay With Mongolia’s Nomads

While hotels are generally situated in convenient locations, such as in the heart of a city, near public transport, sometimes they don’t necessarily impart the feel of the place you are visiting, plus it can also be expensive. This is where Airbnb comes in, where people who own homes can rent out their homes/rooms as a hotel alternative.

For those who might be particularly adventurous, it seems that in a partnership with what3words (via TechCrunch), Airbnb will now list stays with Mongolia’s nomads. What this means is that if you are traveling to Mongolia and would like to experience what it might be like to live as the nomads do, you will be able to find listings via Airbnb’s platform.

While in the past it was possible to arrange such stays, by going through Airbnb, there is the added benefit of accessibility. The listings on Airbnb are with Dukha reindeer herders where according to the description, it will provide “two wooden beds, sleeping bags and an open-fire stove for heating and cooking, as well as full access to the reindeer tribe’s backyard” in the Taiga forest in Northern Mongolia.

It does sound like quite an adventure because when guests meet their hosts, they are then taken to the mountain camp which can be accessed either via reindeer or horse. If you are thinking of doing something different this holiday, then perhaps this could be an adventure worth checking out.
