The latest patch for Fallout 76 might force you to keep a close eye on your data cap It’s a whopping 47GB. Bethesda had said that this patch would be hefty and it certainly wasn’t kidding. The first major patch for this title is now rolling out and it brings a handful of improvements and fixes for Fallout 76.
The patch weighs 47.258GB on the PlayStation 4. It bumps up the title to version 1.02. The game took up 53.04GB on the console prior to the patch and now occupies 53.23GB after the patch. This means that the update simply replaces much of the pre-existing file.
Reports show that the patch size is similar on the Xbox One. Players on PC have it good as the patch size for them is around 15GB. Bethesda has said that future patches for consoles won’t be as hefty.
Many bugs have been fixed in the first major patch for Fallout 76. This includes the Bureau of Tourism bug and it also makes some performance tweaks. Some changes have been made to PvP as well.
“Regular updates will always vary in size, but future updates should be much smaller in comparison,” Bethesda said, adding that it plans to update the game on a regular basis with patch notes that make it clear what each update addresses.
