Autowit 12V Batteryless Car Jump Starter

autowit-jump starterIf there is one particular component of a vehicle that is often overlooked and yet most crucial to its running, it would be the battery. You might have the most ferocious engine underneath the hood, but if the battery is dead, no amount of horsepower potential is going to make it move an inch. A dead battery is as simple as having no battery at all. While replacing an old battery is an option, what happens when a relatively new battery goes flat because you forgot to turn off the headlamps the night before? Jump starting the battery is the next best option, and this is where Autowit’s Jump Starter comes into the picture.

The Autowit Jump Starter will rely on supercapacitor technology that enables it to use the weak battery power of a car in order to charge itself, before it goes ahead to jump start your car instantly. The entire process will not take more than 10 minutes of your time, and there is no need to fret since you will not have to get down and dirty with any kind of pre-charging whatsoever. No longer do you have to sit and wait by the roadside for assistance to pull over, and neither do you have to beat yourself up for not remembering to juice up that lithium-ion battery jump starter before embarking on a road trip.

In comparison, a general lithium-ion battery jump starter is touted to have a lifespan of between 2 to 4 years, but Autowit’s batteryless Jump Starter boasts of a lifespan that lasts up to 20 years. With the integrated supercapacitor, the Jump Starter is able to withstand more than 100,000 times frequently repeated use in its lifetime. Each $119.99 purchase will feature the Jump Starter, a charger, a 12V adapter and a user manual. Not only that, the Jump Starter is tough enough to function in a wide temperature range of -40℃/-40℉ all the way to 70℃/158℉.

For the regular commuter or adventurous road trip enthusiast, never leave home without the Jump Starter. It is also compact enough at 16.5” x 10” x 2.4” to be stashed into your boot without taking up much space at all. The Jump Starter is suitable for any vehicle up to 5.0L gas/3.0L diesel engine, which should cover a wide range of vehicle makes and models for the average person.

You may also use the promo code HOLIDAY2018 in order to get an additional 10% off from your purchase on Amazon in the lead up to Black Friday.

Netflix Testing Mobile-Only Subscription As Affordable Option

Netflix’s CEO recently said that the company is thinking about offering cheaper subscriptions in select markets to further increase its user base. He didn’t reveal any information about these plans in his interview but the company has begun testing a mobile-only subscription that may be a part of Netflix’s plan to offer more affordable options.

Netflix has quietly started offering a cheaper package in Malaysia that costs RM17 or about $4 per month. It’s a mobile-only subscription that’s priced at half of what its basic subscription costs in the country which is RM33 or $7.90 per month.

The limitation here is that subscribers can only access Netflix’s library of TV shows and movies on one handheld device, be it a smartphone or tablet. Moreover, the content will only be available in standard definition and not high definition. Signups are only possible through the Netflix app or the mobile website. This tier doesn’t appear if the site is accessed through a PC.

A spokesperson for the company has confirmed this test in Malaysia and added that similar trials are being conducted in a few other countries as well. No further details have been provided about the tests so far. It’s unclear if this mobile-only tier will be offered in other markets outside Asia.
