Each Christmas when we were kids, we got one of those advent calendars that you opened to count down the days until the big day. The ones we bought always had nasty chocolate inside, but this one sounds much better. It’s the Harry Potter Advent Calendar, and with each flap you open you get a Potter Funko Pocket Pop figure.
In all, there are 24 1.5″ tall figures in the calendar. Among the figures are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, and three (unspecified) figures are ThinkGeek/GameStop exclusives.
It’s not cheap at $39.99, but it’s better than any cheap Walmart calendar with “chocolate flavored” candy inside that won’t even melt and leaves your mouth greasy.

The International Consumer Electronics Show 2019 is only a couple of months away. We’ll get to see a wide variety of new products at the trade show in Las Vegas. ASUS always unveils new products at CES and if a new report is to be believed, we might get to see the company’s first Chrome OS tablet at CES 2019.
ASUS has a long history of releasing products that are powered by Google’s web-based operating system. It may now be thinking about launching its first Chrome OS tablet.
A Twitter-based leakster with a decent track record has said that ASUS will likely be launching its first Chrome OS tablet at CES 2019. The device is said to have a ~10 inch screen. No further details are available about this product right now so it’s difficult to say what it will tout under the hood.
It remains to be see if this will be a premium product with powerful internals including but not limited to the Snapdragon 845 processor from Qualcomm. ASUS hasn’t confirmed anything about launching a new Chrome OS device so far. We may not get to hear anything about the device from the company prior to CES 2019 where it’s now expected to unveil the tablet.

Meet Chicken-Walker 2.0 everyone. This past Halloween, the weird looking Cassie humanoid-legged robot donned a Star Wars AT-ST costume made by members of its build team at Oregon State University’s Dynamic Robotics Lab. So basically these engineers are Imperials, now creating the Empire’s latest toys. I can’t wait to see their Star Destroyers and Death Stars.
They also added some CG blaster cannon effects to the video for more realism. Though it probably won’t be long until it can really do that on its own. I think it’s time to recruit an Ewok army so we can be ready to take it down. No one deals with the Empire like those little furry freaks.
I hope someone invents a thermal detonator so I can use it on these wobbly monstrosities. At least they’re easy to trip. Stupid robot scientists. I’m surprised they didn’t give it some hands so it can hold a knife and a gun. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you people? Do you really want to be the last people on Earth with a bunch of robots? Well, I admit it does sound appealing.
I love the way it moves its legs like it has to pee too. Nice touch.
