11-inch iPad Pro VS 10.5-inch iPad Pro In Performance Comparison

Last month Apple took the wraps off their new iPad Pros. Apple changed up the design of the iPad Pro to give it an edge-to-edge display, and in the case of the smaller version, it allowed Apple to offer up a larger display while keeping the entire body roughly the same size, which bumped it to an 11-inch display.

So the question is, how does the new 11-inch iPad Pro fare against its predecessor, the 10.5-inch model? That’s what the folks at AppleInsider have attempted to find out in the video above, which compares the performance between both tablets. Now it is clear that the 11-inch model is the winner in terms of performance as it simply blows its predecessor out of the water in terms of its benchmark scores.

Now since benchmarks only tell one part of the story, AppleInsider also attempted some real-life tests by exporting a 4K video. In their tests, they found the the new iPad Pro only took 2 minutes 56 seconds to complete the export, versus the older model which took more than twice as long at 6 minutes 10 seconds.

They also tested how long it would take to export edited JPG files where the new iPad Pro took 2 minutes 33 seconds, while its predecessor took 2 minutes 58 seconds, in which the differences aren’t as obvious. That being said, the overall differences are huge so if you are thinking of getting an iPad Pro, perhaps investing a bit more money into the newer models could help you futureproof yourself.

Possible Specs Of Cheaper Galaxy S10 Model Revealed

Samsung’s Galaxy S lineup is usually the company’s flagship lineup which means that they are typically priced as such. However we have heard rumors that 2019’s Galaxy S10 could actually be launched in three different models, with one of the models allegedly being of a “cheaper” or “budget” option.

Now according to a tweet by Ben Geskin, some of the alleged specs of that particular model might have been revealed. According to Geskin’s tweet, the phone in question will not have curved edges and will instead feature a flat “infinity-O” display. It might also not be powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset and could instead use 2018’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

Note that this isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the Snapdragon 845 is a very capable chipset, but we suppose in terms of perspective, we’re sure that many would much prefer if it used the latest chipset. However Geskin’s tweet does mention that it could potentially use the Snapdragon 8150, so it’s not necessarily set in stone just yet.

Other alleged specs include 4/6GB RAM configuration options, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and also a dual camera setup on the back. It has also been rumored to cost $650-$750. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll have more details soon.

Samsung Galaxy J4 Core Android Go Handset Announced

While high-end smartphones certainly make for better news and publicity, and also does a good job of showing off a company’s technology, the price of such devices typically means that there are a good number of customers out there who cannot afford them, such as those living in developing countries.

The good news is that if you are in the market for an affordable Android handset that won’t break the bank, Samsung might have something for you in the form of the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core. This is the company’s latest Android Go handset and follows the Galaxy J2 Core that was announced back in August earlier this year.

In terms of specs, as an Android Go device, there really isn’t much to shout about as we are looking at the use of a 6-inch 1480×720 display. There will also be a 1.4GHz quad-core processor under the hood along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage via microSD card.

There will also be an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and will come with a 3,300mAh battery with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) preinstalled. There is no word on pricing yet, but given that this is an Android Go phone, we doubt it will cost too much.
