Red Dead Redemption 2 Ships 17 Million Copies In Under Two Weeks

There has been a lot of anticipation for Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. Fans of the series have had to wait for a very long time for this title to arrive. Now that it’s finally here, they’re picking it up in droves. The company has revealed that it has shipped 17 million copies of Red Dead Redemption 2 since its launch.

Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent compay, has announced that more than 17 million copies of this popular open-world Western have been shipped since it was launched on October 26th. It’s an impressive feat that Rockstar has managed to ship 17 million copies of the title which has been released for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in just twelve days after it was launched.

It merits mentioning here that these are sell-in numbers which means that the figure includes units that have been shipped to retailers but not necessarily sold to end customers. It’s impressive nonetheless since it doesn’t include digital purchases. Many gamers now tend to purchase titles digitally instead of buying physical copies.

Take-Two has also revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 sold more copies in its first eight days than the original Red Dead Redemption did in almost eight years after its release. The title was launched in May 2010 and it was only in February 2017 that the sell-in numbers crossed 15 million units. Red Dead Redemption 2 was able to cross that milestone in eight days after being launched.

YouTube For Nintendo Switch Arrives Today

It was reported last week that the YouTube app may finally be coming to Nintendo Switch. Many would have expected the app to be there already since YouTube is the world’s number one source of online videos but that wasn’t the case. The wait is finally over for Nintendo Switch owners as it has been confirmed that the official YouTube app for their console is arriving today.

Nintendo Switch actually doesn’t have that many video apps. YouTube is only the second video app for this console. Hulu was the first when it arrived in November last year.

The official YouTube app for Nintendo Switch provides access to any and all videos on the platform. Just sign in with your Google account to access the video library, subscriptions, and recommendations. It will also be possible to stream your Movies Anywhere library on the device.

The Switch version also has support for 360 degree videos. The app can be controlled using the left joystick and main buttons while the touchscreen allows for partial control in the handheld mode. That’s because it’s not possible to swipe up and down to navigate in the app. At least YouTube gets partial touchscreen support in handheld mode because Hulu doesn’t have touchscreen support at all.

The official YouTube app for the Nintendo Switch is now available as a free download from the Nintendo eShop.

Banana Surprise Fills Your Bananas with Other Stuff

Are you tired of adding extra flavor outside of your banana? Well, it’s time to get some flavor inside of your banana with Banana Surprise. On the other hand, if you want a different flavor than banana, maybe you shouldn’t have a banana in the first place? Right?

The Banana Surprise is kitchen tool for kids that not only cores bananas but also fills the fruit with any injectable flavor you want. All you have to do is cut the end off a banana, place it in the… um… Yumstation, push the corer into the banana, take it out, then inject your flavor inside. Maybe some jelly or chocolate. Then you have a banana surprise.

Sounds like a lot of work to me. On a side note though, a budding young nurse or doctor can learn how to use a catheter and have a cool snack at the same time. So I guess there’s that. No way I would let this in my house – makes my penis very nervous. In fact, this was a hard article to write with one hand covering my crotch.

This Life-Size Fallout T-45 Power Armor Bust Will Intimidate Your Houseguests

Fallout 76 is almost here. What are you going to do to pass the time until it’s in your hands? I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to sell a kidney or two, and get myself this awesome Fallout T-45 Power Armor Bust. The bust is life-size, measuring almost 35 inches across and 30 inches tall.

It is made of polystone resin and hand-painted to get every detail screen accurate. Speaking of accuracy, this bust also features a battery-powered LED headlamp. It is as heavy as it is big, weighing in at just over 52 pounds. That polystone is heavy! But not as heavy as real power armor would be though.

There’s no release date yet, but they are expected to ship out in the third quarter of next year. You probably already guessed that it is also expensive – at $1,299. Yep, that’s a lot of bottle caps. So you better start drinking lots of Nuka Cola. If you want one you better hurry though. This is being produced in a limited edition of only 500.

The game itself will be out long before you get your lifesize bust. Fallout 76 is set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 14, 2018.

There’s a new PS4 Pro and it’s much quieter than the original

There’s a new Sony PS4 Pro and it’s much quieter than the original. Right now, it’s only available in a Red Dead Redemption bundle, but eventually, it will likely be available as a standalone product, too.

The new CUH-7200 version reportedly dropped the console’s noise from 50 decibels to 44 decibels, though, as EuroGamer notes, it can still top out at 48 decibels. The noise reduction is reportedly thanks to improved cooling, which in turn, reduces the strain on the cooling system within the PS4 Pro. The original PlayStation Pro came out two years ago, and at times, it can roar like a jet engine.

The revised model looks the same as the original, so check the model number on the box to ensure you’re getting the quieter option.
