We see really good deals on Samsung’s higher end QLED TVs with some regularity throughout the year on sites like MassDrop; better even than Black Friday prices. But if you want the OLED-like blacks of Samsung’s best TVs on a budget, we’ve never seen better deals on the entry level Q6 line.
Nikon Z7 review: Great photos, great video, imperfect autofocus
Posted in: UncategorizedAs I’ve said (repeatedly) for the last few months, Sony has run circles around rivals with its A7 series full-frame mirrorless cameras, most recently the A7 III and A7R III. When Nikon and Canon finally released their own models (the EOS R and Z7/Z6)…
Mazda has lagged behind other car manufacturers when it’s come to introducing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to its range, only bringing them in as standard from the 2018 Mazda 6 and 2019 CX-9 and CX-5. Now, though, the technology can be retrofitted…
Several life-sized Gundam statues have gone up in Japan over the past few years. They could either move very little or not at all but that’s going to change with the latest one that’s being built now. A fourth anniversary Gundam project has been announced during a recent press conference. A “moving” 18-meter Gundam statue will be put up at the Gundam Factory Yokohama in the summer of 2020.
The image posted above is what was revealed at the press conference. Details are slim about how it will actually be able to move. Will the one-to-one scale Gundam be able to actually walk or will it just be able to lift a leg up?
It obviously won’t be completely mobile so there’s no hope of seeing that statue being able to move all around the place and destroy anything that comes in its path. It may be more visually appealing than the current life-sized Gundam which is a Unicorn RX-0 that was put up in 2017. Some parts in its helmet do move and there are some light up effects as well but that’s about it.
Gundam fans will be very interested to see what this new project delivers. They will have to wait for a couple of years to find that out.

Like the stereotypical hero, HTC refuses to admit defeat despite the almost insurmountable hurdles it faces. Few smartphone makers are perhaps as embattled as the Taiwanese company, both economically and even politically. But despite continuing losses in the smartphone market, despite scandals that rocked its hierarchy, and despite whispers that say otherwise, HTC says it still believes in smartphones and … Continue reading
There is always a price to pay when using thinner materials and devices, in addition to the higher cost of making them as such. Glass breaks more easily and metal bends more willingly. With the new 11-inch iPad Pro having broken so easily in a bend test, it’s only fair that its rival, the Microsoft Surface Pro 6, get the … Continue reading
