LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier
Posted in: UncategorizedJust like how we are unable to see any kind of impurities in our water, the same applies to the air that we breathe. There might be different kinds of impurities within which would affect our health negatively, which is where LG’s PuriCare 360° Air Purifier come in handy. What makes this particular model stand out from the others would be its unique purification method that promotes 360 degrees of clean air delivery, in addition to true HEPA filtration, LoDecibel for quieter operation and superior energy efficiency.
Anyone who lives in a household where there are asthma sufferers or those who react negatively to allergens will find the PuriCare 360° Air Purifier useful as it helps improve indoor air quality throughout the home. The special purification method will ensure that areas that are low to the floor will also have its air purified, which is crucial since that is normally where infants and toddlers tend to hang around. In addition, the Clean Booster feature intends to deliver a far more even distribution area. This allows it to deliver clean air up to 24 feet farther than before, as it covers rooms up to 512 square feet. The air purifier itself will tilt up to 55 degrees and rotate up to 70 degrees, as it works quietly courtesy of the LG LoDecibel technology.
Boasting of a unique multi-filter system which captures half a dozen different types of particles including the peskiest indoor allergens to deliver purer, cleaner air, the PuriCare 360° Air Purifier’s true HEPA filtration system traps 99.97 percent of ultra-fine dust. In effect, it requires a mere two filters as opposed to other industry leading air purifiers that require three. There is also the deodorization filter that helps remove odors such as food and smoke, smog and harmful airborne chemicals.
Air quality is also indicated via the intelligent LED indicator system, where it uses green, yellow and red colors to provide you with an idea at a glance. Fret not about running up your electricity bill either, since this ENERGY STAR certified room air purifier is extremely energy efficient compared to other air purifiers. Expect the LG PuriCare 360° Air Purifier to retail for $1,299 apiece.

The other day Instagram rolled out an activity dashboard feature which basically let users know how long they’ve spent on the platform. Now it looks like Instagram’s parent company, Facebook, is rolling out a similar feature called “Your time on Facebook” to its platform where for the most part it does the same thing.
In fact it actually kind of looks the same, according to a screenshot shared by TechCrunch. It shows users a bar graph in which it tells them how long they’ve spent on the app per day during the week. It also averages out the time that they’ve spent, and also gives users the ability to manage their news feed in an attempt to help reduce the amount of time they spend on the app.
Granted users spending more time on Facebook is a good thing, but companies have been criticized in the past for making their products too addictive, and studies have shown that too much time on social media can actually make you feel lonely. This Facebook feature isn’t exactly new either as it was initially spotted in development back in June, but it looks like it is finally available to all users.
Facebook is also not alone in introducing such features. Apple has also introduced a similar feature on iOS, and more recently Google has started pushing it outs digital wellbeing tools onto Pixel and Android One devices.

One of the goals of Apple’s health initiatives is that they want a one-stop location for all your medical data, so that the next time you go to the doctor, you’ll be able to show them all your medical data, including biometrics collected by your wearables such as the Apple Watch which hopefully will give them a better idea of what’s going on with you.
Now according to a report from The Wall Street Journal (via AppleInsider), it seems that Apple is in talks with the Department of Veterans Affairs to potentially transfer the medical records belonging to US veterans onto iPhones. This would accomplish what we mentioned above, which is that they’ll be able to keep their own medical records which they can then use to show doctors and hospitals when they are admitted.
There have been talks by the VA in the past about a possible program to help modernize the VA records, and this could be one of the ways to do so. There is the question of privacy and security, although with the Health Records feature, it is said to be encrypted which should help prevent unwanted eyes from looking in on your data without your permission.
No doubt a deal with the VA would be a major coup for Apple which would allow them to further their health programs and initiatives, but whether or not this deal will go through remains to be seen.
