Unicorn Skulls Offer an Imaginary Anatomy Lesson

If your home decor is lacking, perhaps you just need some more skulls. These decorative unicorn skulls should do the trick just fine. Each resin skull is hand-painted and polished and looks like what a real unicorn skull would look like if they existed. Maybe you can hang this next to your Bigfoot fur rug, Chupacabra skeleton, or Ogre taxidermy trophy.

Each skull measures 10.75″ (h) x 8.5″(w) x 4.75″ (d). Something tells me that this isn’t to scale with an actual unicorn. Its horn is screwed onto the skull which I don’t think is how it works in real-life but what are you gonna do? Maybe you can swap that horn out for other stuff, like a decorative ice cream cone, a hand making devil horns, a lightsaber, or other fun accessories. I like the idea of a Jedi unicorn with a lightsaber instead of a horn. I might have to make a short Star Wars film with an all unicorn cast. The lightsaber duels will be the best. When they collide they create rainbows.

First John Wick: Chapter 3 Trailer Promises Serious Action

The John Wick movies are proper action movies in the true sense of the word. That’s one of the reasons why they have been very well received. Since they have done so well, the studio has been making the third one, and it has now released the first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The trailer suggests that like its two predecessors, the upcoming movie is going to have its share of serious action.

The trailer picks up the story where the previous film ended. John Wick has been ex-communicated from the assassin organization and now has a bounty on his head, which means some very dangerous people are out to get him.

He’s now running around New York trying to kill all of his enemies before they can kill him. So you can bet that there’s going to be a lot of action during the entire course of the movie as the story plays out.

Chad Stahelski, who directed the first two films, is back in the director’s chair for the third installment. Laurence Fishburne and Ian McShane will be reprising their roles as well while Halle Berry will be making her first appearance in this successful franchise. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is slated to hit the big screen on May 17th.

Google Spends $40 Million On Mystery Smartwatch Tech From Fossil

The Fossil Group has pumped out dozens of Wear OS (Android Wear) based smartwatches over the years so it has been a great partner for Google’s wearable ambitions. The two companies have now inked an agreement which has Google acquiring some undisclosed smartwatch technology from Fossil for $40 million. The folks in the research and development division who created this technology will also be moving over to Google.

The terms of this deal include the transfer of a “portion” of Fossil’s R&D team over to Google. These people are directly responsible for the intellectual property that Fossil has decided to sell to Google.

This gives Google a dedicated team that has ample experience with wearable hardware. They will now be a part of the company and will work on Wear OS and may very well contribute to new smartwatch designs in the future.

No further details have been revealed about the intellectual property that has been signed over to Google in return for $40 million. Wareable reports that it’s a “new product innovation that’s not yet hit the market,” according to Fossil executive Greg McKelvey.

“The addition of Fossil Group’s technology and team to Google demonstrates our commitment to the wearables industry by enabling a diverse portfolio of smartwatches and supporting the ever-evolving needs of the vitality-seeking, on-the-go consumer,” said Google’s president of product management for Wear OS Stacey Burr in a statement.

Walmart Reportedly Decides Against Creating Netflix Rival

Earlier reports had suggested that Walmart was interested in launching a streaming service of its own. The service would have taken on the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime which are already established players in this market. However, a new report claims that Walmart now deems this to be a risky play and has decided against it.

CNBC hears from sources who claim that Walmart had considered launching a streaming service of its own but has decided not to go through with the plan. It feels that investing billions into original content for a streaming service will be a risky move. It would also face tough competition from established players like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.

Instead of fighting it out with them, Walmart will reportedly be focusing more on Vudu, the service it acquired in 2010. Vudu is doing relatively well by selling pay-per-view content but hasn’t really dived into creating original content. “Vudu has developed a strong platform, and we aim to continue to bring our customers more content, on more devices, at the best possible price,” said a spokeswoman for Walmart.

Mark Greenberg, the media executive who was in discussions with Walmart to launch its streaming service, is now said to be in talks with another retailer for a similar service. Costco has held talks with him but the scribe mentions that no agreement has been reached as yet.
