HBO had revealed when it was going to reveal the premiere date for the final season of Game of Thrones last week. Yes, the cable giant is milking the final season of this insanely popular series for all it’s worth. It has not only confirmed the premiere date but also released the first teaser for the eighth and final season.
HBO had previously confirmed that the final season of Game of Thrones is going to air in April 2019. It just hadn’t confirmed precisely when. The wait ends today as the cable giant has revealed that the season 8 of Game of Thrones is going to premiere on April 14th.
As promised, the premiere date for the final season was revealed prior to the first episode of True Detective season 3 being aired on Sunday. A teaser trailer has been posted online as well to further get the hype going for the upcoming season.
The final season is going to be wrapped up pretty quickly as it’s only going to have six episodes in total. No word on the storylines, though, which is probably a good thing as fans don’t really want any spoilers. Those who love the books that this series is based on will be equally in the dark as we’ve passed the point of divergence.

Before we get into the topic at hand, let me ask you guys something. What the hell is wrong with y’all? Why do you need to wear these shoes that look like they’re made of human skin? Are they for serial killers? All I know is that they are super creepy and they make it look like you have demon feet. You really want demon feet?
These things are actually thigh high so that when you wear them they hopefully look like it is your real skin. I’m not surprised at all that they are made by a company known as “Fecal Matter.” The artists say they’re designed to make a statement about social media ideals and body modification.
These would be great for Halloween if you want to dress up as a demon I guess. Wear them when it isn’t Halloween and you are going to get some very weird looks. Some might even run away.
They aren’t available yet, but when they are they’ll be sold for the rather outlandish price of $10,000 – making them only accessible to wealthy freaks. They are planning on making a more affordable version for those who can’t afford the high price tag.

Schneider’s EVLink car charging stations were easily hackable, thanks to a hardcoded password
Posted in: Today's ChiliSchneider has fixed three vulnerabilities in one of its popular electric car charging stations, which security researchers said could have easily allowed an attacker to remotely take over the unit.
At its worst, an attacker can force a plugged-in vehicle to stop charging, rendering it useless in a “denial-of-service state,” an attack favored by some threat actors as it’s an effective way of forcing something to stop working.
The bugs were fixed with a software update that rolled out on September 2 shortly after the bugs were first disclosed, and limited details of the bugs were revealed in a supporting document on December 20. Now, a fuller picture of the vulnerabilities, found by New York-based security firm Positive Technologies, were released today — almost a month later.
Schneider’s EVLink charging stations come in all shapes and sizes — some for the garage wall and some at gas stations. It’s the charging stations at offices, hotels, shopping malls and parking garages that are vulnerable, said Positive.
At the center of Positive’s disclosure is Schneider’s EVLink Parking electric charging stations, one of several charging products that Schneider sells, and primarily marketed to apartment complexes, private parking area, offices and municipalities. These charging stations are, like others, designed for all-electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles — including Teslas, which have their own proprietary connector.
Because the EVLink Parking station can be connected to Schneider’s cloud with internet connectivity, either over a cell or a broadband connection, Positive said that the web-based user interface on the charging unit can be remotely accessed by anyone and easily send commands to the charging station — even while it’s in use.
“A hacker can stop the charging process, switch the device to the reservation mode, which would render it inaccessible to any customer until reservation mode is turned off, and even unlock the cable during the charging by manipulating the socket locking hatch, meaning attackers could walk away with the cable,” said Positive.
“For electric car drivers, this means not being able to use their vehicles since they cannot be charged,” it said.
Positive didn’t say what the since-removed password was, but, given the curiosity, we asked and will update when we hear back.
The researchers Vladimir Kononovich and Vyacheslav Moskvin also found two other bugs that gives an attacker full access over a device — a code injection flaw and an SQL injection vulnerability. Both were fixed in the same software update.
Schneider did not respond to a request for comment. If that changes, we’ll update.

D-Link Exo router series revealed
Posted in: Today's ChiliFor many of us, a regular Wi-Fi network at home is good enough for everyday use. After all, how many of us happen to live in an unbelievably large mansion? It is however a rather common occurrence that in some places, there are dead spots where the Wi-Fi signal is unable to reach. Enter networking specialists D-Link with their latest D-Link Exo series of routers, debuting at the recently concluded CES 2019. D-Link has teamed up with security company McAfee to bring about a secure home network that simply works no matter which room you are in.
This new collection of Exo routers and extenders will boast of D-Link’s proprietary Wi-Fi Mesh technology. Such technology enables users to mix-and-match compatible routers as well as extenders, resulting in a creation of their network while expanding their coverage according to their home networking requirements. Wi-Fi Mesh will end up with a single network throughout users’ entire home or premises, letting them remain connected automatically to the strongest signal as they move around from room to room. The presence of Auto Channeling allows mesh nodes to automatically select the channel with least interference, while Auto Optimization paves the way for mesh nodes to automatically hunt down the shortest, fastest path to the mesh router.
In addition, there is the Auto Healing feature that will allow the Wi-Fi Mesh to automatically establish an alternative path to the mesh router should there be a time when a particular mesh node malfunctions. The Wi-Fi Mesh is a snap to set up thanks to Automatic Wireless AP Configuration, where network settings are replicated on additional units as long as the first has been configured prior. All of the mesh network’s weak spots can be seen clearly in real time via the Dynamic Network Assistant.
All of the D-Link Exo routers will arrive equipped with McAfee protection for each device connected to the home network. This McAfee Secure Home Platform provides automatic protection to all connected devices, where any emerging threats are identified and blocked courtesy of McAfee’s Global Threat Intelligence. Seems to be well worth the investment, don’t you think so?

Sony has released the list of PS4 Top Selling Games for 2018 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has come out ahead of every other game. Two separate lists have been released to showcase the popularity of titles in Europe and North America. The charts are largely similar with the exception of a couple of titles.
The PS4 Top Selling Games 2018 list for North America places Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 at the very top. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was very well received so it’s not a surprise to see it at the top of this list. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 was the second-best selling PlayStation 4 title last year. Marvel’s Spider-Man, which launched to rave reviews last year, rounds out the top three on this list.
The top spot went to FIFA 19 in Europe. This makes sense since football (or soccer) is a much bigger deal in that part of the world. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was the second best selling game for the PlayStation 4 in Europe with Red Dead Redemption 2 coming in third place.
Fortnite understandably took the top spot on the list of best performing free-to-play games for the PlayStation 4 last year. It’s followed in second place by H1Z1 and by Brawlhalla in third.
