Apple Has A Star-Studded Event Planned For The 25th Of March
Posted in: UncategorizedSometimes Apple holds an event in the early part of the year where they announce hardware refreshes for existing products. In a new report from Bloomberg, it seems that Apple will indeed be hosting such an event this year, but this time it could be a slightly different event as it will be quite a star-studded one.
According to the report, Apple is set to host an event on the 25th of March where we could see the likes of Hollywood elites such as Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner and director JJ Abrams attend. Apparently this event will be where Apple will officially launch their long-rumored video and news subscription service.
This seems to contradict an earlier report which claims that Apple’s video service could be launching in April. However it is possible that the event might see the service officially announced, while its availability might only arrive in April. The news service is also one that’s worth keeping an eye out for following Apple’s acquisition of Texture.
The acquisition led to rumors that Apple could be planning to launch their own news subscription service, and if this report is true, we should find out soon enough. No word on whether the event could see Apple refresh existing hardware, like the iMac, or if it could see Apple announce new products like the second-gen AirPods or the AirPower charging mat.

Are you hoping to see a new major Blizzard title released this year? Unfortunately that will not be the case because according to Activision Blizzard’s COO Coddy Johnson, there are no plans for any “major frontline” releases for Blizzard titles this year which means that any hope of seeing a Diablo 4 is all but gone.
According to Johnson, “We expect materially lower financial performance this year. 2018 benefited from the release of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, whereas we are not planning a major frontline release for Blizzard in 2019.” What’s interesting is that based on this statement, it seems that Blizzard might not consider the upcoming release of “Diablo Immortal” to be a major release.
Given that Blizzard seems to be done with the current storyline of StarCraft, and there doesn’t seem to be plans for a new Warcraft RTS anytime soon, nor a sequel/expansion for Overwatch, we suppose Johnson’s comments make sense. Blizzard seems to be going through a bit of a turbulent time at the moment where they have laid off quite a bit of their work force.
They have also been facing a lot of backlash from fans over the content in games such as World of Warcraft, and the lack of a Diablo 4 announcement probably did not help either.
