Samsung Galaxy S10 Camera Features Revealed

The Samsung Galaxy S10 will be launched soon, and given how much focus and emphasis is placed on smartphone cameras these days, we expect that Samsung will have something amazing for us. Based on the leaks we’ve seen, the higher-end Samsung models will sport a triple camera setup on the back, while the budget model will sport a dual camera setup.

However there is a chance that in terms of camera software features, they could share the same features. According to the folks at XDA Developers, they have uncovered a bunch of potential camera features that we might be able to expect. This includes 1080p Super Slow Motion, 0.8 second Super Slow Motion, Best Shot, Bokeh Effects for Live Focus, Document Scanning, HEIF Format Pictures, HDR10+ video recording, and more.

It is unclear if these features will be shared across all three phones or if they might be limited to the regular and plus models of the Galaxy S10. However we wouldn’t be surprised if they were. This is because for the most part, Apple has done the same with the iPhone XR and the iPhone XS and XS Max.

There have also been reports of Samsung introducing a feature called Bright Sight which is the company’s alleged attempts to take on Google’s Night Sight mode.

2019 iPhones May Not Ditch Lightning For USB-C

Apple has long shipped a proprietary connector with its mobile devices instead of opting for the USB spec used by the industry at large. Earlier reports had suggested that the company was testing “some versions” of 2019 iPhones with USB Type-C instead of Lightning. However, a new report makes claims to the contrary.

Macotakara reports that the 2019 iPhones will not have a USB-C port and are going to stick with the Lightning connector as expected. It’s pertinent to mention here that this publication had accurately predicted the 2018 iPad Pro’s switch from Lightning to USB-C last year. So there may just be some truth to its latest claim.

The report adds that this year’s iPhones will have the standard Apple 5W USB-A charger in the box. If this is accurate, customers will once again be required to purchase a separate USB-C to Lightning cable in addition to a power brick that supports USB-C Power Delivery for fast charging.

Apple has obviously said nothing about the 2019 iPhones at this point in time and won’t in the months to come. Its new iPhones aren’t due until September this year at the very least. These may not be the models that bring 5G support. That’s expected with the 2020 lineup.

Samsung Teaser Confirms Foldable Phone Launch For Feb. 20

You would know by now if you tend to follow tech news that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S10 on February 20. The company is not making an announcement at MWC in Barcelona this year. It has opted to host a separate event in San Francisco instead. Earlier reports have suggested that the much-awaited foldable phone may also be announced on that day and a new teaser from Samsung seems to suggest the same. Samsung has been working on its foldable smartphone for a while now and fans just want to see it in action now.

Samsung has posted a new teaser on its official Twitter account which says that “the future of mobile will unfold on February 20,2019.” That’s pretty self-explanatory. The short clip also drops subtle hints about the foldable nature of this device.

This will no doubt gets its fans more excited for the upcoming event which is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s biggest. It’s going to have three separate Galaxy S10 models in addition to a separate one that has 5G support.

There’s no saying as yet when the foldable phone will actually be available for purchase. It’s possible that Samsung may only show it off on Feb. 20 and might not provide any pricing and availability details until later.
