I don’t know about you but I really hate mowing the lawn. I’d rather be inside in the air conditioning, relaxing. Well, it looks like iRobot has finally unveiled a robot for lawn mowing that is like the Roomba you use inside your home.
The iRobot Terra robotic lawnmower is designed to perform the chore for you. All you have to do is charge it, set up the wireless beacons around your yard, connect it to the phone app, and let it do its thing. It goes into its charging dock when it needs some juice. It likely won’t cut very thick and tall grass since it is small and just has a small electric motor, but if you already keep your lawn well maintained it will likely do the trick.
It looks pretty easy to use and the best part is that while this thing is mowing your lawn, you can be relaxing inside watching TV or reading a good book. I say reading a good book, but honestly, I’m going to get sucked into binge watching cat videos. Again.
The iRobot Terra robotic lawn mower will be available in Germany soon, and then there will be a beta program in the US later this year.

Liphier Cavalry Robots are robotic toys which are designed for battle. The little robots can be controlled via the accompanying mobile app to defend or attack head-on. These interactive robots are described as self-balancing, but they look like they just spin around on wheels. Still, they look like fun.
Each 5.3″ tall robot has a “laser” gun and reflective shield. You can send out digital attacks and block commands through the app, so it seems like you could have some pretty tactical fighting back and forth. These robots can be used in four different battle modes and you can adjust the sensitivity before each battle:
- LASER BEAM: click to launch, resulting in medium damage to opponents, every 10 shots need to reload.
- REFLECTIVE SHIELD: stop and reflect the beam from opponents.
- DESTROY CANNON: click to fire, causing minor damage and then briefly losing control after launching.
- PARTICLE GUN: long press to launch, causes high damage and require cooling time after launching.
The robots deliver up to 25 minutes of battle time per charge, which isn’t bad as remote-controlled toy robots go. You can grab a pair of these little fighting robots for just $69.99 over on Amazon.
