Do Dogs Get Headaches?

From the outside a dog’s life can seem close to ideal, at least at those moments when your desire to do nothing runs up against the imperatives of being alive (going to work, doing dishes, buying food for the dog, etc.). Plus, dogs generally don’t require fistfulls of Advil just to make it through the day. But would…

Working LEGO Piranha Plant Will Chomp Your Minifig’s Butt

LEGO and Nintendo are two of geekdom’s favorite things. Here they come together in an awesome build that replicates one of Super Mario Bros.’ most iconic villains – the nasty piranha plant. But this is no ordinary LEGO model – this piranha plant actually works.

It was built by Jason over at JK Brickworks, and has a mechanism inside which not only moves the plant up and down from its pipe, but it opens its mighty jaws as it emerges from its green pipe. Check it out in action in the video below:

Jason says it was quite difficult to cram the mechanism inside such a small space, but the end result is truly awesome. I’d love to see him make an entire working Super Mario scene using this as the centerpiece.

Super Mario Fire Flower Garden Statue: No Green Thumb Required

This Super Mario Fire Flower Garden Statue is going to look great keeping watch over your garden. You never know when a plumber might happen by and need some fireballs after all.

The 12-inch resin statue weighs 3.5 pounds and is meant to be displayed in a flower bed so your neighbors can say, “Hey, I like that game too.” You can plant it indoors if you want, too, even in a dark room. The great thing about a resin plant like this is that it’s pretty much impossible to kill it from neglect. It  There’s just one sad catch. You can’t get any actual fireballs from this flower.

This is a good start, but I think you need to go full Super Mario on your garden. That means you also need some 1up mushrooms, a few coin boxes, maybe a Koopa or two, and a vine that leads into the clouds. Now that’s a garden. Even without all of those extras, this is a nice way to add some color into your garden, because let’s face it, it’s probably more of a weed patch than a garden right?

Help your garden grow today over at ThinkGeek, where you can get your own Fire Flower for just $24.99.

Sprint to launch 5G service in 4 cities in May

Telecom company Sprint has shared some of its plans when it comes to 5G service in the U.S. The company announced at MWC in Barcelona that mobile customers in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Kansas City can expect 5G service as soon as May 2019.

If you don’t live in one of those cities, maybe you live in Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix or Washington D.C. Sprint also promises 5G coverage in those cities soon after the initial launch, at some point before the end of June 2019.

Overall, Sprint expects to cover 1,000 square miles in nine cities by the end of the first half of 2019. It’s going to take years to roll out 5G coverage across the U.S.

When it comes to devices, Sprint will sell smartphones that are compatible with its 5G network. The first one will be the LG V50 ThinQ 5G. The company will also sell the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G at some point this summer.

Sprint is also partnering with Google so that Google Fi customers can take advantage of Sprint’s 5G network if they have a compatible device.

And that’s about all there’s to know. It’s still unclear whether 5G plans are going to cost more.
